Obama flies to India, looking to boost US economy

MUMBAI, India – President Barack Obama hasn't been able to drive down unemployment in America, so he's coming to India in search of U.S. jobs.

Four days after his party suffered heavy, economy-influenced losses in Congress, the president will arrive Saturday in Mumbai, India's booming financial center, where he will meet with local business leaders and with American executives who have traveled to India in search of billions of dollars in trade deals.

The White House hopes to announce agreements on aircraft and other exports, and generally broadcast that America is open for business with burgeoning India and its 1.2 billion residents.

The administration says that jobs and the U.S. economy are the focus of Obama's 10-day Asia trip, a message aimed at inoculating him against any criticism that he is concentrating on foreign affairs while Americans are suffering with unemployment at 9.6 percent. He left Washington shortly after the government reported the economy added 151,000 jobs in October but still not enough to lower the jobless rate.

Obama is an idiot, but maybe we CAN save money by outsourcing all government jobs to India.

Yep, let's offer ANOTHER 600,000 H1-B's a year.

That'll drive employment in the U.S. up.

Too bad none of them will be citizens.

Hmm, on second thought, some people say we've already outsourced the White Hut, so big deal...

Cheers!

What’s Hussain going to do hold a gun to the corporate CEO’s heads and order them to bring back our I.T. jobs? What a tool, I’m so embarrassed by our pres__ent. The British press is even mocking him now.

I cannot even fathom the level of spin.

Well they are already looking forward to all the millions of new outsourced jobs from the Obamacare package.

Obama flies to India, looking to boost US economy

No, he just wants to travel the word at the expense of the American taxpayer.

They must think we all fell off the turnip truck recently!

Obama doesn’t even know what a job looks like so how is going to find them in India?! He sure as he’ll never worked at a real job since community organizing doesn’t count!

India has to be able to read American politics at least as well as the average American man on the street can. They know that Bummer can make all kinds of bloviated promises, but unless the GOP agrees to kick in the money those promises will go exactly nowhere. They have to be giggling behind his back.

The trip for jobs is absurd.
Please; let someone ask what the results will be...

Brazil isn’t even concerned about the out-sourcing. Their Bonds are up to 9% payout. The low dollar is killing them slowly. Obama has something up his sleeve with the Indians that the Brazilians don’t like.

LOL government jobs outsourced to India and all prisoners outsourced to Mexico (NAFTA) will save us several hundred Billion $$.

This is not as far fetched as it sounds. With internet, the Indians can perform 90% of work by government paper pushers. And Mexico spends less than 1/10 on incarcerated folks. As a added benefit criminals who have spent time in Mexican prisons never want to come back for seconds.

Good. At least I’ll have a Harvard grad who speaks English like Obama at the other end of the phone when I call for customer service.

They are all outsourced to India.

But a couple of billion in taxpayer money to send him there is pretty steep.
