I’ve seen a lot of similar comments and it seems the threat of the example of a paltry $11,000 fine which hasn’t even been adjudicated yet has kept it from occurring. What happened to those who would pledge their fortunes along with their sacred honor to the freedom of their country?

I was thinking the same thing yesterday as I read about the $11,000 fine.

At what price are we willing to give away our Freedom and our protected Rights?

The timing for these illegal enhanced searches & seizures is critical. Just before the holiday, who wants to be put in jail for the holiday because you felt compelled to demand your Rights & Freedom remain respected going through a security checkpoint? They are counting on your compliance, that your desire to fly is greater than your desire for your Rights. Your desire to see your family THIS holiday is more important to you, than you taking a stand to DEFEND YOUR RIGHTS AND YOUR FAMILIES RIGHTS, to be secure in their persons for another generation.

What are our priorities?

'If there must be trouble let it be in my day, that my child may have peace." Thomas Paine

“I also truly believe there would be no court in the land in which my peers would have found me not guilty of temporary sanity in this world of TSA insanity.”

You have way too much faith in the courts.

“I Will be avoiding airports in order to avoid prison. If someone molested a kid in front of me, I would not be able to just stand idly by—I’d have to jump in and try my very best to stop it.”

That really is all we can do. The heroic internet cowboys talk about fighting these people, etc. That just puts you in jail. I don’t know what I would do, but I know I would be sickened not only for myself undergoing these indignities, but for others.

The worst thing is that we have reached a day where government is a tyrant god, a lesser version of the Nazi and Soviet evils. I never served in the military, but my late father did in three wars. I’m so very glad he is gone and didn’t live to see this. It would have burned his soul and killed him.

You are truly, deeply, profoundly an idiot.

The first person may have been attempting sarcasm, but your line was about the funniest thing I've read in days. Thank you.

Medicine? Someone just showed that it was your democrats/Marxists in Congress who created the TSA and only 1 or a handful of RINOS aided them.Republicans and conservatives in Congress opposed creating the TSA. What about that don't you understand?

I was never for the TSA. I want it abolished NOW. And abolish all of the rest of these thousands of government agencies democrat congresses created too, like the EPA, HUD,HHS, FEC, FCC, FDA etc.

And what about that democrats are now in power don't you understand. Yet you continue to blame conservatives and Republicans while the democrats are systematically destroying every part of the economy and our freedom.

And I put all so that hopefully others will read it and learn that the TSA etc has to be abolished and not to believe you propagandists.

Yes Bush started it, but I remember him fighting for TSA to be privatized. He did not want another federal union bureaucracy.

The dam dems forced him to make it another union governmentopolis.

Bush could have held his ground, but felt he had to get some airport screening set up quickly considering the times we were in.

I like this solution from a post on another website:

The Israelis are developing an airport security device that eliminates the privacy concerns that come with full-body scanners at the airports.

It’s a booth you can step into that will not X-ray you, but will detonate any explosive device you may have on you. They see this as a win-win for everyone, with none of this crap about racial profiling. It also would eliminate the costs of a long and expensive trial.  Justice would be swift. Case closed!

You’re in the airport terminal and you hear a muffled explosion. Shortly thereafter an announcement comes over the PA system . . . “Attention standby passengers — we now have a seat available on flight number XXXX. Shalom!”

Hats off to the Israelis!!!!

I think he means “laugh” in regards to the absurdity of it all. Ironic laugh, not comedic laugh.

This discussion is ridiculous : What “we” (the government) should do about airport security.

We nor the government should have no say at all. It is up to the private airlines and their customers to decide what security they want.Funny how that works in cell phone, smart phones, cars , banks (and their security), technology, food products etc. without any of us nor any government idiot telling the free market how to provide these products or services.

Now I even see private security patrols in neighborhoods. that’s because the stupid government police is not doing their jobs , protecting people’s lives and property.

When will you all get it that the TSA must be abolished along with the EPA, FDA, FCC , etc.

The only thing the government should be allowed to do is the military, border control, courts, police and international issues. That’s it.The government must leave us and private companies and the free market alone.

THIS is about the children. Getting them used to this sort of intrusion on their persons AND what could happen to their parents. Many will learn to ignore. Heck, they are being brainwashed enough as it is in public schools.

...and as long as my tin-foil hat is beeping furiously:

Do you not find it a convenient coincidence that the morons in Congress are pushing through that so-called "internet piracy" act End of Free Internet just before Christmas? I know, it's not supposed to really restrict American internet, but what IF they keep this TSA stuff going 'til it pops like a blister PLUS they keep us from talking to each other online? Cloward-pliven.

It is because those national organizations are almost 100% leftist in their political bent, and therefore, they will NEVER go against The One.

1. Abolish the TSA.

2. Impeach Obama as it is responsible for this.

3.Eliminate the EPA, FCC,FDA, HUD, HHS, government schools ( you know they were planning putting these naked scanners in schools don't you?), dept of education, dept of Energy, FEC, etc.

Abolish the TSA.

Impeach Obama as it is ultimately responsible for molesting out children and everyone because they choose to purchase a service of the awesome technology of the private industry of an airliner.

In, addition , this should serve to show EVERYONE,that the rest of the thousands of government agencies should be eliminated beginning with the EPA , and FCC, and FDA ok?

We are all potential homicidal maniacs, so, we should all be stripped searched, right.

The potential for everyone to be a murderer is there, by your rationale, so, to be safe, we should all be stripped searched before we leave the house in the morning, and we should all have our cars taken away because someone might snap and plow through a crowd. Heck, pilots are also human and might snap, let's just ground the entire fleet.

The question is one of reasonableness. It is NOT reasonable to strip search anyone unless there is probable cause. Just showing up for a flight should not be viewed as an act of guilt and generate suspicion. . .unless you are muslim, of course.

There is some evil purpose in doing this to us.

You're right, it's called indoctrination. They want us to get used to being searched and violated. If they can acheive that goal it will be easier for them to search your car, your house, your job or any place they want.

Think about it, they start at the airport then move into the schools. These people are going to rue the day. They have crossed the line.

I can not believe the father stood there and watched

What would you have him do? We Americans are new to this stuff. Once threatened with a fine we get a deer in the headlights look and back off. Maybe we should just start carrying threats of lawsuits from our lawyers when we fly...or one huge, slapping class action law suit would suffice.

You think this is bad...wait 'til the TSA unionizes.
