Refuse to be groped or scanned - face $11,000 fine and/or arrest
Examiner.com ^ | 11/20/2010 | Joe Newby

For travelers going through Spokane International Airport - or any airport - this holiday season, the choice is simple. Either go through a device that allows security personnel to see your body through your clothing, get felt up and groped, or find another way to your destination.

According to an article at the Sun-Sentinel:

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is warning that any would-be commercial airline passenger who enters an airport checkpoint and then refuses to undergo the method of inspection designated by TSA will not be allowed to fly and also will not be permitted to simply leave the airport.

If you refuse to be scanned or groped, you could face a penalty of $11,000 and possible arrest.

Miami-based TSA spokesperson Sari Koshetz told the Sentinel that passengers who first submit and then refuse the process would be questioned by authorities "until it is determined that they don't pose a threat"

The Sentinel reported that the ACLU is urging Americans to petition the Department of Homeland Security to change the policy. In a statement, the group said,

"All of us have a right to travel without such crude invasions of our privacy. Tell DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano to put in place security measures that respect passengers' privacy rights. You shouldn't have to check your rights when you check your luggage."

But the TSA plans to continue the invasive practice.

I couldn’t find a clip, but here’s the transcript of an old SNL commercial parody that I saw yesterday. Didn’t know wheter to laugh or cry:

[ SUPER: “A Message From The Men And Women Of Trans American Airlines” ]

Captain: September 11th, 2001 changed a lot of things about the way we live.

Stewardess #1: But, if you’ve traveled by air recently, you know that new security procedures at most airlines can make flying a frustrating and unpleasant experience.

Employee #1: But at Trans American, we don’t believe that endless lines, early check-in requirements, or confiscating tweezers are the best way to prevent terrorism.

Captain: At Trans American, we have a better idea. We screen our passengers with a system we call “Racial Profiling”.

Stewardess #1: You see, unlike other airlines, we at Trans American have noticed that airline hijackers always seem to be Islamic males, age 15 to 45, of Middle Eastern descent.

Employee #2: That’s why, at Trans American, any passenger who fits that description is put through the industry’s most exhaustive secuity check - including sodium-pentathol interrogation, strip search, and full body cavity exam.

Stewardess: Any passenger who doesn’t, we leave the hell alone. That’s a promise.

Stewardess #2: Some of our competitors take issue with our policies, and even say that, if you allow racial profiling, the terrorists have won. But we don’t agree. I mean, why would terrorists want racial profiling? That’s how you catch them.

Captain: Rest assured, at Trans American, we have no intention of changing the system that’s given us the best security record in the industry. Fly with us, and you’ll see why. And, by the way, you can bring your tweezers.

Voiceover: Trans American Airlines. Security. Reliability. Racial profiling.

I don’t think we should stop flying because we are being harassed. That’s a weak approach.

It appears the TSA fiasco is not being linked to Obama.

Of course not. The media continues to cover for him. I can't wait until this POS is gone in 2012. I keep praying for some big scandal to break that will bring him down before that.

Amendment 4 - Search and Seizure. Ratified 12/15/1791.

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

Let’s get creative here.

The scanners are made by Rapiscan, a division of OSI Ystems (symbol: OSIS on NASDAQ). Headquarters in Hawthorne, Ca. So I’m wondering if

a) any of us live near Hawthorne, Ca.?

b) any of us have a trading account where we are able to short stocks?

Please note: I am not urging any concerted activity...just wondering how OSIS might react if we all shorted a 100 shares or so. Who knows, if enough do it, it will make them $$$.

So, we have a choice - be treated like cattle and let the gov't poke our privates and abuse/humiliate us, or pay a $11K fine and face arrest.

You left out Door Number 3: I'm not flying.

I'm not going anywhere that requires a plane to get there.

If everyone would do this for a week or two, Napolitano would recant, or the airlines would raise unholy hell with the administration.

As long as enough people submit themselves to this atrocity, it will continue and even be expanded to other forms of public, and eventually private transportation.

If it doesn’t stop by Black Friday, it never will. People will lose interest.

Yep.

“Not flying” hurts the airlines, not the TSA. Two different things.

Yes, but the Airlines might be able to pressure enough Dems in Congress to shut this crap down, or the administration itself. The Congress has shown its ability to ignore the people in the past, and got slapped for it. Many of them are wondering about their chances in '12. Obama figures on at least two more years.

The state the country is in. Female jihadis will be able to go through without EITHER the scan or the genital feeling. Normal people will be fined and put in jail.

Welcome the USA under 0bama.

Why do you think the Nazis always stripped, publicly humiliated, fondled and man-handled their victims—it breaks down the individual and forces you into submission. It’s an old process.

The ladies should rig a mouse trap close to their genitals.

No thanks. Perhaps a water balloon would slow the line down just as well?

...the Feds want to see if we’ll take it

And if we do, expect this at train stations, on the bus, roadside checkpoints, etc. It won't stop at the airport if it isn't stopped at the airport.

Boycott air travel until this is shut down, or expect it on the roadside at 'random checkpoints'.

“Why wouldn’t they just allow you to leave the airport??”

They are training the sheeple to be docile and accept all directives in prep for the time to start marching the sheeple into the ‘showers’ where they then turn on the cyanide. The perps behind this, Barry Sortelo, Janet Napalitano, etc etc are equal to or worse than the nazi SS.

Its all about control and to cower everyone into accepting these violations against the 4th amendment. The severity of the fine is proof in its self.Where else have you ever seen a fine that high? This is meant to intimidate and nothing more.My family has plans on going to Texas for Christmas and I do know how I plan to react to this sh!t.I will not subject my family to this NAZI form of security one damned bit.I guess I better start saving up for the fine and bail money.
