Whoopi Goldberg on Tuesday demonstrated an absolutely staggering ignorance concerning a variety of subjects.
Appearing on Fox News's "O'Reilly Factor," Goldberg admitted not knowing what a madrasa is, said it wasn't the Japanese that attacked America at Pearl Harbor, and claimed Muslims in America are more persecuted than Jews (video follows with transcript and commentary):

She’s marinated in it. She’s at least sat through a couple of social sciences lectures. I’ll bet if you hire a private eye he’ll find some transcipts of her as a sociology major at Bronx Community College, entering under “open admissions”.

When BOR asked Whoppi about Madrasahs teaching terrorism in their classes she did not have the faintest idea what a Madrasah was. Does anyone really listen to her for an intelligent thought?
If she thinks Muslims are being persecuted have her go to Detroit and try to pass-out Bibles.
I hate to say this, but yes - sadly. The View enjoys daily viewership around 3.5-4M viewers a day that skew female and older. And, as you're probably aware, no one turns out in greater percentages than women over 50. That's a CRITICAL voting block.
In a close election, the audience of the View could make a difference. Yes, it makes me sick to my stomach.

Anyone that would listen to the drivel put forth on the View is probably Brain Dead/Flatlined already. They are there to get a free cruise or car from “Oprah Waters”.

I was appalled at her blatant anti-semiticism which no body seems to mind. Had anyone said of a study of racism against blacks ‘I’m sure some people believe that study’ there would be riots in the streets.
I think that shocked me more than anything else. Then again, her liberosity would include the ‘jews are the problem’ philosopy.

Anyone know of what the support level in Japan was for the attack at the time it happened? I realize they didn’t have unbiased polling as such but I wouldn’t be surprised at a very high level of support for the Emperor, the government led by Tojo and the military.

Whoopi would probably say that "those Bible-clinging, gun-tottin', Red State rednecks and their military-industrial complex co-conspirators were responsible. Not we enlightened ones, the intelligentsia, the sensitive citizens of the world who appreciate nuanced diplomacy"
The headline is sort of misleading. She objected to the idea of ALL the Japanese attacking as opposed to the Japanese military. A stupid distinction since Japan was as united behind their agression as a country could be at that time.
