Obama is on record in saying that he wanted to cut the military in half. This could be one of his mechanisms for doing so. He and Barney Frank also want to cut the defense budget by 1/2 to 2/3.

When Obama called for a civilian force equally as powerful as the military, and equally funded little did we know he meant to achieve it by destroying the military...although I'm sure most of us suspected he had that as a desire.

I’ll keep my opinions on DADT private, but we all must remember that of McKennedy says it, it’s probably derived from stupidity.

The man is an ass, pure an simple.

This is as opposed to Obama, who is an impure simple ass.

Sure, and after all of this political B.S. infiltrating the military, when all the good soldiers quit after getting fed up with the social engineering going on, when we need the military to protect our borders directly when all hell breaks loose, we will need a draft to get the good people back.

Nothing like a nice tyrannical draft just because of some elitist politicians who want to socially engineer our military.

****critics are also warning that accepting open homosexuality and pro-homosexual “reprogramming” could drive massive numbers of troops out of the service.*****

What would General GEORGE WASHINGTON do about this problem?

http://memory.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/r?ammem/mgw:@field(DOCID+@lit(gw110081))

At a General Court Martial whereof Colo. Tupper was President (10th March 1778) Lieutt. Enslin28 of Colo. Article 18th. Section of the Articles of War and do sentence him to be dismiss’d the service with Infamy. His Excellency the Commander in Chief (George Washington)approves the sentence and with Abhorrence and Detestation of such Infamous Crimes orders Lieutt. I can't believe any sane individual can think that allowing openly homosexual people into the armed forces will somehow have little-to-no negative impact and that a majority of service members are positive about the repeal of the 'Don't- Ask-Don't-Tell' rule. This is clearly a liberal ploy intended to weaken and decimate the U.S. military while throwing the homosexual lobby a big, juicy bone. This attempt at repealing DADT must fail or America will rue the day we allowed our politicians to do this to the one thing that separates us from chaos - the U.S. military.

Then they don't even mention the problem that will kill off the rest of the corps, discipline.

The strict discipline of the military will not go over well with the gays, who are already programmed to yell 'foul' if you look at them wrong.

It will be a problem, and seasoned trainers and instructors will finally hang up their boots in disgust and get out of the service.

Just as obama was going to be the "post racial president", this scheme will backfire because those numbers the pro-repealers are as bogus as obamacare.

Repealing the law will open Pandora's box for another social organization - which is all the military will be after that happens.

After it's shown that this will not work, and the world is threatening us even more, and Private Bruce wants to hit them with his purse, it will be nearly impossible to ever again build up the superior fighting force we have now.

America the Beautiful, brought down by a gaggle of girlie men.

Decimating the military is the whole idea here. I don’t think Obama wants that, I actually think he has seen the light and listens to the generals. He didn’t run from ‘Stan or Iraq, has bumped up the tempo of UAV strikes and sent 30,000 troops to ‘Stan. Yes, it should have been 60,000, but politics shaved the extra 30k. He saw the light on
Gitmo too.

It’s the left in general that is pushing this, and they want to destroy the military so we can’t fight any more wars.

I think they should let the gays in. Make them announce that they are gay. Then the gay men bunk and shower with the women and the gay women shower and bunk with the men. Let’s see how the gays like that.

McCain: 264,600 may quit military (DADT repeal)

Replaced by 264,600 homosexuals. How gay is that?

So the cost of allowing fags in the military is that a quarter of a million trained personnel leave. The benefit is that now our military is home to a bunch of sausage smugglers. It would seem that the cost far outweighs the benefits, if you’re actually looking to make a RATIONAL decision.

On the other hand, if you’re just trying to undermine the US military, this would be an excellent roadmap.

I don't like McCain but I can say I'm grateful for the way he's standing against DADT, particularly when his wife and daughter have joined against him.

If he can block this I'll be grateful to him.

BS.

Not even HALF of that number would quit.

Repeal of DADT is not as unpopular in the ranks as people think it is.

The old saying that “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” so why do they want to change the system that would damage our military??? The military has kept our nation free since the late 1700’s so I say to the politicians, KEEP
YOUR F—KING HANDS OFF!!!! OIF Vet.

One chilling argument was that Congress should repeal DADT or the courts will do it.

The Constitution grants Congress the power to pass rules for the regulation of our armed forces, not the stinkin’ leftist courts.

The very existence of the UCMJ is acknowledgment that not all of the rights accorded civilians apply to service members.

Who would want to be surrounded by Rump Rangers in an open barracks, in the shower room, etc.?

Who wants to go home on leave and be asked "how's the moral"? Being identified as one of a group of sex deviates is NOT what the disciplined fighting forces are intended to be.

When rejecting the advances of a fag is declared a hate crime you’ll see a mass exodus of the REAL men and women in the military.

Remember how derelict Clinton was in the Oval Office, acquiring Lewinskys and practicing muff diving when he SHOULD HAVE BEEN seeing to the responsibilities of his Office? When the lid comes off of gay conduct the military will degenerate rapidly! IMHO

I’m still p-— about the fecal matter Harry Reid was blowing
about John McCain over this issue. I ‘d wish I could shove a potato up his tailpipe(or wherever) but to what avail our
system of government has been irretrievably broken for some time now. And the predictable actions of the Lame ducks only
proves my point. I sent e-mail to Mikey Mullen reminding him
of that Navy man who committed suicide when he discovered he had been wearing combat awards he never earned.I do not condone suicide-but find him more honorable than Mullen or Gates who violate their Oath in this evil act.
