Somebody tell Google and Yahoo it is Perl Harbor Day. Every year, on this special day, I always check google and yahoo to see if they have a clue. They don't. They'll put special home pages up for every cause under the sun, but for this -NOTHING!

Never forget!
Google & Yahoo are waiting for Abu Grahib day or something similar.
As contemptible as MSNBC may be, check out Bing. I never use Google anymore - ever.

Thank you Sir for reminding me. I woke up remiss until I read your thread.

When my Dad was in the Legion, they would have memorials on Dec 7. Every year this guy would parade out with his PH Vet hat, and get in front of all of the cameras. He was a boisterous man. Suffice it to say that he was not well liked.
I remember standing with my Dad and several of his friends. These friends had more medals on their chests than I could even imagine. They would look at this guy, and I heard one of them say, “He was a cook on the other side of the island. The only bomb he heard that day was on the radio.”
But, he had his “I was there” ticket punched, so they all shut up and let him take the limelight.
To all of the men and women who were really “there” you have my respect and I will remember those who never left “there” in my thoughts today.
And if you are in Manilla, stop by the American Cemetery and tell my Uncle and all of those there that we appreciate their sacrifice still.
The media seems to not only avoid mentioning Pearl Harbor Day but are starting to ignore 911 also.
If you ask the lefties, they will tell you that both tragic days were the fault of America.
Earth Day is a biggie at Google.
He taught his children (by example) outstanding moral courage, that right is right, to extend a charitable hand to those in need, to work hard, to love those in your charge, be spiritual, expect the best, prepare for the worst....and NEVER, EVER FORGET!
Thanks Dad!
It would be nice to have an e-mail address for Google, but they ‘conveniently’ left that off of their site.
Nothing on Drudge either. Most other sites don’t have anything about it either. It’s just “another” day....as the guys who fought in it die off sooner or later nothing will be remembered except in the history books.
Bing has a U.S.S. Arizona photo up.
Pearl Harbor and 9/11, when we let out guard down, forever living in infamy!
No! Don’t tell them!
They’ll want to cobble together something honoring the Imperial Japanese Navy.
My mom says that on Pearl Harbor day, Dec ‘41-She was at a dance.
When the announcement was made, the music stopped, the people were silent. All the guys left and headed for the nearest recruiting office... literally. Her date (later my dad)also left the dance right away to enlist! She remembers this vividly.
My wall calendar says it’s the Islamic New Year; ever so much more important than Pearl Harbor Day. pfft.
