'PA to cancel all security commitments to Israel'
Jerusalem Post ^ | 12/9/2010 | Staff

Al Quds al-Arabi reports that PLO, Fatah plan to push for a unilateral abrogation of all Oslo and Road Map commitments, including fighting terror, in response to failed peace talks.

The Palestinian Authority will stop coordinating its security with Israel, in response to the US's official announcement that peace talks have failed, Al Quds al-Arabi reported on Friday.

Khana Amira, a PLO official, told the UK newspaper that the PA is also considering canceling its other commitments to Israel, including the Oslo Accords and the Road Map, which demand that terror organizations will stop.

Yasser Abed Rabbo, a senior PLO official and an adviser to PA President Mahmoud Abbas reportedly plans to convene a meeting with the PLO and Fatah central committees on Friday afternoon, in order to make a new plan for the Palestinians.

Palestinian officials told Al Quds al-Arabi that they expect US President Barack Obama to attempt to restart peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians.

"Maybe the meeting will give the American government another chance," an official told the paper.

The Palestinians are also considering seeking the UN Security Council's recognition of a Palestinian state on all the Palestinian territories that were captured by Israel in 1967.

In October, Abed Rabbo warned that the PA would unilaterally abrogate the Oslo Accords if the peace process broke down.

“We can’t remain committed to the agreements that were signed with Israel forever,” he said. “One party can’t remain committed while the other party has violated the agreements and even canceled them.”

Government sources in Jerusalem were unfazed by Abed Rabbo’s threat at the time.

“We hear these sorts of things now and again from the Palestinians, that Abbas will resign, they are going to dismantle the PA, that they are going to take everything to the UN, that they are going to give up on a twostate solution,” one government source said.

“But it is not serious. Everyone understands that the only way to achieve peace is through direct negotiations, everything else is not serious,” the source said.

OSLO, Wye River, etc, Israel gave and gave and gave tangibles- the Arabs gave promises. Arab promises, agreements, are not worth ________ (fill in your own). Even this won't remove the World's insistence that Israel should continue the suicidal charade of the "peace process".

Meanwhile for the past several years the US has been arming and training a Palestinian Arab army that is now- as it renounces its “peaceful” commitment- openly declaring war on Israel.

Who could have predicted such a development?

> ‘PA to cancel all security commitments to Israel’

That must mean that, instead of turning a blind eye to terrorists, the PA will now actively and openly support their efforts to destroy Israel.

Soon the PA will merge with Hamas.

Count on it.

When the PA army attacks Israel, the headlines will (as with the economy’s dismal performance under socialism) read “Surprising” and “Unexpected”.

When did the PA ever really start “fighting terror”?

Absolutely true. If these threats come to fruition, which remains to be seen, then Israel will be facing a major conflict on two fronts that will be aimed at cutting the nation in two. Netanyahu must take these threat serious and respond with a mobilization of their forces in case of the outbreak of war at the moment there is even a chance that the two sides, Hamas and Fatah, ally themselves with each other.

Best news I've heard all week. Israel now has every reason to repossess and annex all of Judea and Samaria. They've bought and paid for it many times over.

Stealth "peace" has been a very dangerous process.

Bibi to the PA:

“Here’s a security commitment for you.”
“For every act of aggression against Israel or it’s citizens, we’ll strike back ten-fold.”
“If you cowards believe that hiding behind your women and children will protect you, you are wrong.”
“If you believe acts of terror are a bargaining chip for more land, you will find yourself with less land.”

This declaration would put a crimp in the diplomatic pretense of the peace process. It would put Tony Blair and so many other peace negotiators out of a job. That can’t be allowed.

The odds are the US pressures them from making any such open declaration and will ignore their de facto implementation.

Even their openly taking about such a abrogation of signed agreements made for good consideration (from Israel) just proves what would happen if there was a “peace” after the major Israeli surrenders that the World insists Israel make.

Israel has nothing to fear from this rabble today. Terror, sure. Some armed conflict, yea. But no real danger to Israel.

The danger comes after a peace treaty when they have a sovereign state able to make defense agreements with other Arab and Islamic states. When they import all manner of weapons.

They prove their word means nothing.

Peace with them really means a step to a devastating regional war.

Foxes to cancel all security commitments to the hen house.

A more appropriate substitution would be "Coyote" followed by "Road Runner."

The world sees that Obama has turned on Israel. South America has now become openly pro terrorist thanks to Chavez and also to Obama’s disgusting behavior and underhanded behavior. Israel must defend Israel. She can no longer count on the USA.

What a laugh. Who do you think has been preventing Hamas from kicking Fatah in the keester in the West Bank just as they did in Gaza?

It has three little initials, but they aren't PLO.
