I just finished reading “Blowback” by Brad Thor, in which the Aga Khan is a character; I never knew anything about a Shia/Shiite spiritual leader, much less that one even existed.
Correct on Rita Hayworth. Wonder where their daughter is now? She must be 50ish by this time.

Yasmine is the name of Hayworth’s daughter by Aly Khan. The current Aga Khan is Prince Karim, the son of the Aly Khan’s first wife, thus stepson of Rita Hayworth. Yasmine took care of her mother as she was declining from Alzheimer’s.
And I was right, Karim did attend Le Rosey in the early 50’s at the same time as my brother.
Shi'ites believe in a Twelfth Imam, and the Ismailis do too - but most Ismailis believe that the Aga Khan line - descended from Muhammad's family - is that Imam.

He is only 1,400 years too late.
He is the hereditary of the Ismalis. They are the direct descendants of the Assassin cult. Alamut castle, and all that. This seems to be where the terrorism concept was originated. Whether Ismalis still harbor terrorist tendencies is an open question.
