It’s quite a museum, and of course because of who he was personally, his interests, his perspectives, and the like it’s a very special place.

The stop after that should be on the dime - to get rid of that Socialist scumbag, FDR. Heck, he's been on a coin for 64 years, longer than he lived - I think that's more than long enough. Oh, and while we're at it, let's put Franklin and the Liberty Bell back on the half dollar. 46 years for a philanderer who was President only 2 1/2 years is way beyond reasonable.

My local post office did not have any religious stamps this year - just a pine cone thing that is a “forever” stamp.
To: jazusamo
That one is REAL nice - I’d also like to see the “Shining City on a Hill” stamp.
To: dfwgator
I have a lib friend that went apoplectic when they renamed the airport in DC “Reagan National”. Gave me a warm & fuzzy feeling to watch him foam at the mouth.
I think I’ll send him a picture of the Reagan stamp. hee hee.

So do I. Let the far left cringe every time they see a picture of him via. the stamp.

Excellent! Looks like I will be stocking up on these to replace the old liberty bell design.

He did a lot of good but, like all human beings, wasn’t perfect:
“National economies need monetary coordination mechanisms, and that is why an integrated world economy needs a common monetary standard - - - - but, no national currency will do - - - only a world currency will work.

Undead Threaders, welcome to our January home. Although our usual practice is to move to a ZOT thread and bring it back to life for a month, we have not always done so -- such as the month Frank Sheed got us an audience with the Pope.
This month is another such case. Thanks to the USPS this month we will celebrate the memory of Ronald Reagan and keep the upcoming stamp issue in the forefront of FReepers' attention.
