Reid wants one big humongous insurance company to take care of all our needs — the federal government.

These idiots haven’t clue one as to what the purpose of insurance is: To protect against fortuitous loss. A pre-existing condition is not fortuitous.

“Obamacare is not and never has been insurance reform. It’s just an installment plan to create a national healthcare system.”

Precisely!

I much prefer the insurance companies to the government having the power.

““Opponents of reform have tried everything to protect insurance companies and block common-sense protections for middle-class families in Nevada and across the nation.”

This is BS. The Insurance Co. want the Obamacare. They have seen the writing on the wall. They are in a situation of losing money as the Baby Boomers become older and demand more types of coverage before medicare kicks in. By turning the actual coverage over to the government, health insurance companies become a utility companies handling just the administrative duties.

All you have to do is allow LOTS of competition.
Fed Gov doesn’t want that.
State insurance boards don’t want that.

Wonder why?

Hellcare continues the scheme of taking money from those who pay for insurance and funneling it to lawmakers and their families. Lots and lots of money funneling will flow to politicians and their buddies (those lucky enough to have politically protected CAT/MRI scanning centers and labs doing blood work) through inflated reimbursements.

Everyday is Christmas for these politicians.

The foreign occupier and his horde are a menace to our nation and damn near everyone living here.

Reid: Opponents Should Stop Trying To Give Power Back To Insurance Companies And Work With Us To Make Reform Work For Middle-Class Families

I'll do that Reid; right after you publicly sign a document stating neither you, your loved ones/affiliates or the United States Government will hold any individual responsible for you're demise who's loved one was denied access to medical care under a U.S. Government system that they could have received under a private system today provided they can support such a claim..

Cool?

Giving the insurance companies a guaranteed income from making everybody buy health insurance is Harry Reid’s doing. If you wish to get fooled by people like him, you will.

From the article: abusive practices like denying health insurance to people with pre-existing conditions

This practice is not abusive. What is abusive is thinking you can wait until you hit trouble and then expect somebody else to pay for it.

From your comment: I don’t want to give power to insurance companies but,

... but you've bought into the premise that the insurance companies are exercising 'power' here, when they are simply exercising their constitutional rights to not do something they think is stupid - and giving insurance coverage after the fact is really stupid, as insurance by definition is a payment to cover future risks.

No, I made a sarcastic quip based on the title of the article. Hop off the high horse.

Amen to that. These people believe fully they are endowed by their Creator with the inalienable right to run OUR lives. Look what Michelle had the audacity to say today that “we can’t let the parents decide what is best for their kids”.

What happens to confidentiality between a doctor and the patient? With obamacare, it would be between a doctor, the patient and who knows how many gov’t acorn-type yahoos who know nothing about medicine making the decisions. No thanks. And what if the said yahoo has PMS or just got dumped by a boyfriend and feels like taking it out on someone?

"It’s time to move on, and work together to implement reform in a way that puts families in control of their health care, and lowers costs for both families and small businesses.”

Yes it is, Senator Reid. Glad you are on board with repealing Obamacare which you previously helped shove through...oh, wait...you mean this was just another meaningless boilerplate phrase...?
