He would have lasted 10 minutes before he was tarred and feathered and hung for treason.

I am definitely not for having people be forced to have insurance, but i am FOR people not using hospitals if they don’t have the cash. If you can’t pay the bill that there is the door. You talk about not being liberal, but how can you call yourselves conservatives if we have to pay for people who don’t have insurance. True conservatives would NOT allow free hospital services for those who don’t want to have insurance.

“Opponents of reform have tried everything to protect insurance companies

In all that I've seen or heard about Obamacare, I've never seen mention of this.

I believe many have called for tort reform and that keeps getting knocked down. I think if the government wants to help they should work with the insurance companies to come up with affordable coverage for people at different pay levels.

And, work with the health care professionals to accept a minimal charge (like they do with insurance companies) from patients who pay in cash.

This is where the fix is, NOT in a government bill.

I trust profit-motivated insurance companies much more than I trust government agencies.

Then why did the insurers and pharmaceutical companies support BOCare?

Probably because they were promised the job of administrating the govt plan.
