KABUL, Afghanistan -- During an unannounced New Year's Eve visit to Afghanistan, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano traveled to the country's mountainous border region near Pakistan to see first-hand her department's efforts in the war effort there.

The U.S. should leave Afghanistan and Iraq. Let the Muslims in those countries kill each other if they want to. The U.S. should bomb terrorist training camps without putting boots on the ground. Station about 50,000 U.S. soldiers along our border with Mexico. Bomb Iran’s nuclear sites and military bases. Stop giving aid to the so-called Palestinians (terrorists). Cut all funding of the UN, leave the UN, and close down the UN building in NYC. Turn it into a condo. Bomb North Korea. If terrorists get control over Pakistan’s nuclear weapons, bomb Pakistan. Close down the U.S. to any immigration by Muslims. Ban Muslims from U.S. airplanes and airports. Congress should identify Islam as a subversive organization, which seeks to destroy our Constitution, our country, and our freedom. Ban Muslims from serving in the U.S. government in either civilian or military positions. Outlaw mosques, which are outposts of the subversive enemy. “And like that,” to quote Kojak.

Officials said the growing Homeland Security presence in Afghanistan is the product of an effort launched under the Obama administration. Officials say it is part of a "vision" from the late U.S. envoy to the region, Richard Holbrooke, who sought to include more federal agencies in the war and nation building effort here.
