He was once considered a rising star in the GOP. But after taking a position in the Obama administration, his name has mostly disappeared from the GOP’s lexicon. Now, however, former Utah governor Jon Huntsman, Jr. is changing that as he begins hinting at a possible 2012 presidential run.
Oops, ditto, ditto.

I’m waiting for the Lamestreamers to start floating Dede Scozzafava - at least somebody’s heard of her.

The ONLY reasons her numbers are down in Alaska are:
She has had NATIONAL media attacking her for two plus years straight. None of it having to do with her time in office or her record. There is no other sitting governor or former governor in the country that has been attacked like this. All print media, broadcast & cable TV. Pundits and op-ed pages.
There is a contingent of people who are still angry that she resigned before finishing her term who will not forgive her for not doing so. These are the same people who ignore the fact that the very ethics rules that helped push her out of office were finally changed so it doesn’t happen to a future governor....and they were changed a month ago.
Depending on which poll you use, Palin’s poll ratings were between 85% and 90% when McCain tapped her for his ticket.
And btw, she would carry Alaska if she were on the ticket (top or bottom) today. One of my best friends is the GM of one of the major Anchorage TV stations there.

I agree with you 100% on" mormons putting their religion over their politics...or country." I just posted this thread about the illegal situation and the church's stance on it.

Look at the source - the blaze - and maybe they and Obama know something about Huntsman that the rest of us don’t.

You had better re-read the original comment and then mine, neither of which have anything to do with your comment above. My theory has nothing to do about either Romney nor Huntsman Jr.’s political beliefs, rather that Obama would be pitting the two against each other in the primaries to split the Mormon financial backing and vote. Put your specs on when reading comments so you get the correct intent of them.

I would guess it’s because Beck is very close to Huntsman Jr.’s father, and they all are Mormons (Beck included).
This whole story is based on a Newsweek piece. The MSM should be aware that their advocacy or puffing up of any republican candidate is a “Kiss of Death” among republican and tea party rank and file.
The only thing that can stop the Sarah Palin freight train is if Sarah herself decides not to run.
Because of every thing you wrote, she could never be elected Pres. At least Huntsman (about whom I know nothing) is immune from these attacks as he was BHO’s choice for Amb. He’s a RINO? What’s that? From all I read he’s very conservative on pro busness issues. I don’t care if he’s Mormon. Is that what this is all about?
Well then I respond: Who cares, if someone votes and sends money purely based on their religious belief, they aren’t very concerned about political beliefs either..

He’s for cap & trade, pro-amnesty, gay rights...all the usual RINO issues. Can’t remember his position on abortion, however.
Since you haven’t heard much about him, I’m sure you’ll find time to read up on his record.
FWIW, I’m not interested in anyone BHO picked for dog catcher. His criteria isn’t very high and some of his picks are downright scary.
