Posted on 01/03/2011 10:20:46 PM PST by pissant
Former vice presidential candidate and reality television star Sarah Palin has remained quiet over the recent repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell. But she may have just made a statement... by re-Tweeting a conservative lesbian's columnist's Tweet about 'homos.'
Around 10 p.m. Eastern time on Monday night, conservative pundit Tammy Bruce Tweeted about the recent repeal of the military's discriminatory Don't Ask Don't Tell policy:
But this hypocrisy is just truly too much. Enuf alreadythe more someone complains about the homos the more we should look under their bed

The idea being, one imagines, that those who are most vocally anti-gay are the people who are most likely to be gay themselves, or at least to have, like, gay stuff "under their bed." Not the most original observation in the world, nobut look who apparently agrees with it!

For years after starting Gawker Media, the online publishing network, in 2002, Nick Denton ran the company out of his apartment, in SoHo.
It is believed that Denton grew up in Hampstead, and was educated at University College School and University College, Oxford where he studied Politics, Philosophy, and Economics. He also became the editor of the university magazine, Isis. He began his career as a journalist with the Financial Times. He co-wrote a book about the collapse of Barings Bank called All That Glitters. Jackson. Controversies
* On October 28, 2010, he published an anonymous kiss-and-tell piece entitled, "I Had a One-Night Stand with Christine O'Donnell," causing ire among left-leaning feminists. The sensational headline was also not true as O'Donnell only slept naked with the anonymous writer and did not have sex with him. The National Organization for Women condemned the piece as "slut-shaming." NOW's president, Terry O'Neill. "It operates as public sexual harassment. And like all sexual harassment, it targets not only O'Donnell, but all women contemplating stepping into the public sphere.". Salon's Justin Elliott criticized the ad hominem nature of the article, Tweeting, "Today, we are all Christine O'Donnell."
Gawker.com reportedly paid in the "low four figures" for the story. Denton defended it, praising its "brilliant packaging."
* In 2007, Denton's Valleywag editor, Owen Thomas, outed Silicon Valley businessman, Peter Thiel in a post entitled, "Peter Thiel is totally gay, people.". In the comment section of Thomas's post, Denton speculated as to why Thiel would keep "his personal life a secret from journalists... for so long." He even named "a guy called Mike" as an alleged boyfriend.
In response, Thiel called Valleywag the "Silicon Valley Equivalent of Al Qaeda". Thiel called out the sites for "scar[ing] everybody" and for stifling the culture of Silicon Valley, which is "supposed to be about people who are willing to think out loud and be different."
It won’t be constrained to Gawker by tomorrow morning.
Well, its not really Gawker. Just click over to Palin’s own website, and click on her tweet site. Its not Gawker, its Palin’s site.
I’m reserving judgement for now. I’m sure Palin will have more to say later. But this is her own site.
I haven’t voted third Party since 1988.
pissant (THE Conservative party: www.falconparty.com)
I’m sure you will be helping to rally your troops. You seem to find it quite easy to pal around with the socialist creeps when it serves your purpose. If you read the cr@p background of the author of this article you will see he is a consummate liar. Is it customary for you to support testimony of liars?
In case you haven’t read the Falcon website, they have no candidates or infrastructure at this time. But in the meantime, they are committed to supporting all conservatives. And I defy you to find one word in their platform you find unwarranted or liberal or wrong.
Sorry... I’m going with the posted source and why the pissant who posted it is posting cr@p from leftist commie liars.
just click on Tammy’s and Sarah’s tweet pages. You don’t have to trust Gawker one bit.
Why are you deflecting from your original source? Why not post from Tammy and Sarah’s tweet pages? You are pathetic.
It wasn’t omitted. It was linked where it always is linked.
Because I checked them and Gawker wasn’t blowing smoke. I suggest you do the same. For all your hissy-fitting, you’d think John Edwards didn’t diddle the dumb blonde while his wife was dying of cancer — just because the Enquirer was the source.
“I was answering your invitation to fill me in on Sarah wanting to destroy our military...and declined, preferring reliable sources - on anything Palin.”
pissant...I like you, but if you are going to accuse Palin of trying to destroy the military (of which her son is a proud member), it would be very helpful if you provided a link to the source of the accusation, and documentation of the supposed truth of that accusation.
Thank you. ;o)
Supporting Tammy Bruce’s position on repealing DADT is more than sufficient.
But you don’t have to. You can go to her own site.
I’m not worried about it. She isn’t shy; she’ll have more to say and I expect her position will be clarified soon. She has never been the kind to leave you wondering where she stands.
Pissant doesn’t like her and is up front about it. I do like her, she is on my short list, right up there with Bachmann, DeMint, and a very few others. There are a few issues she has avoided so far and so far since she has been focused on going after Obama it hasn’t mattered. She could pick her fights. Eventually she will have to clarify her position on some of these other issues and I’ve no doubt she will.
This could be a hint that DADT isn’t a big deal to her, but if thats true or if its not true I have no doubt she’ll clarify that soon. Just linking to Tammy Bruce isn’t definitive. I like Bruce too but I don’t necessarily agree with everything she says. Still, its an odd article to link to.
Tammy Bruce was in the middle of a tweet conversation about people attacking Palin, and Tammy said:
"But this hypocrisy is just truly too much. Enuf already[the hypocritical Homos' position is] the more someone complains about the homos the more we should look under their bed"
I’m sorry I even dropped in on this thread. I would like to know Palin’s view on the homo agenda in general, and DADT and its repeal in particular. There is very little information on this thread, and hopefully some time in the future, Palin will make her position clear.
Tweets, twitter and facebook are things I have no personal experience with, and at this point, I want to keep it that way!
My husband is a Viet Nam veteran, and he opposed gays in the military then. But, this is now. Times have changed, though I haven’t.
However, I don’t think that is the biggest issue facing this country right now.
Could you please give me something more substantial that DADT?
I'm focused on economic issues, and you may have noticed I was being quiet about DADT because that's not our most pressing issue...
There is info on this thread because the thread was started by Palin haters looking for something........sheesh! There is no story here
Gawker is where the date with Christine O’Donnell story came from. So Gawker is bad.
But Palin probably shouldn’t have retweeted that. The “homos” thing is completely irrelevant. But retweeting that makes people think that Palin is pro-gay. That’s not going to help with Conservatives.
Palin will have this problem. Not saying it’s going to be a big problem. But many Conservatives believe that Palin is a great Conservative. And other Conservatives believe that Palin might be a great Conservative, they hope that she’s a great Conservative, but they aren’t sure what her positions are on the issues.
If she runs, she wouldn’t be beaten from the right, but she could lose Conservative votes she needs if she takes positions contrary to what Conservatives want. Cain could run and take 2% that would go to Sarah.
She’ll probably just run away with it, though, win the Nomination handily.
This RT doesn’t help though.
Here is my screen shot of Sarah's tweet page I just took.
You have gone from skirting around the edges of "Sarah the stupid", "Sarah the unqualified", "Sarah the reality star", "Sarah the mother of the unwed dancing with the stars (possible slut) Bristol"... wait... perhaps you haven't been exactly skirting... more aptly going full bore on a 24/7 how-can-I-attack-Palin-again-? campaign!
Really pissant... you have been on a 24/7 HISSY-FIT!
You have been on a destroy Palin mission day and night, since it became apparent that she was a viable contender for POTUS. You have been on a primordial Stop-Sarah-Hissy-Fit ever since!
That’ll do the trick. You can bet your last dime that Obama’s pukes in the Pentagon are preparing homosexual sensitivity and diversity training classes for our warriors as we type.
Has nothing to do with edwards per se. Only that Gawker and Nat. Enquirer get it right sometimes. This is one of those times, easily verified.
LOL. All right. I'll change it for accuracy!
That's a screenshot of Sarah Palin's Twitter, showing her re-Tweet of Bruce's original Tweet. How, well, odd! For one thing, a major political figure should probably not be using the word "homos," or quoting its use, even in a vaguely pro-gay rights context. Not even Sarah Palin, who owns Alaska! (Bruce is an out lesbian, so, according to the Official Rules, she is "allowed" to say "homos.")
But also: Why?
In the end, of course, the joke is on me, for trying to figure out what goes on in the mind of the Sphinx of Wasilla. Enuf already!
Let's see what Sarah Palin has to say about her retweet. I've never seen any indication that she supports the homosexual agenda, and for the record, I do not like her friendship with Tammy Bruce. Friendships like those, always lead to trouble. Homosexuals and lesbians always want *something* in return for their limited support that our side never needs.
I just dropped in on the thread and wish I hadn’t. I do want to know how Palin stands on DADT, its repeal, and the standard before DADT was enacted. I want to know her position on the homo agenda. And many other of her POV. I like her, but I want to know more.
Hopefully she will speak more about her various positions on these and other things.
Please don’t let his antics upset you. He’s a misogynist, no matter how often or how vociferous he tries to claim otherwise.
I haven’t read the Green, Whig, Know-Nothing, Socialist, Communist, Libertarian or Falcon Party websites. Know why? None of them have ANY chance of doing anything in a two-party system. There’s enough mental masturbation involved in “what would I do with the Publisher’s Clearinghouse prize if I won?” that I don’t have to go to some ridiculous website for more entertainment.
DADT if all will remember was a Clintonian invention! Now it has been turned around on conservatives. I ask all... what the heck did they do before the savior Clinton created DADT? They probably dealt with issues on an as needed basis and the military was CLEAR on their mission and it wasn't about diddling someone in the barracks... they had consequences in place for that.
How ironic that a policy created by the diddler himself... William Jefferson Clinton has created so much disruption in the military and amongst conservatives who seek to protect those who serve.
I know... he is the 24/7 hate Sarah network. I generally try NOT to respond to his posts, but this thread is pretty much over the top.
It’s not entertainment. It sprung up, just like a thousand other websites and groups from the insanity of the GOP in picking a moderate backstabbing moron as our standard bearer in 2008.
Worse than that, he is a darn Oregon Duck fan.
Lets focus on the issues that matter to my twin daughters’ future. The future of the United States of America. This stuff is backround noise and I think Sarah’s focus is in the right place.
She is taking a trip to Israel soon. The same Israel whos existance is constantly threatened by Iran.
big issue.. there
Clinton did not create DADT. That was the compromise reached with the GOP. Clinton wanted gays to serve openly, just like Clinton, Tammy Bruce, and apparently, Sarah Palin.
Very funny. Ducks - National Champs!
LOL! Hey.. I have an Oregon Duck sweatshirt from their Rose
Bowl game back in the 90’s and some pins as well! I really don’t root for the Ducks, but love the sweatshirt! Best thing of all.. it was free... vendor gift! Of course that is outlawed now that we have the socialists running our country.
I detest the calling it the *repeal* of DADT, it was the *transfer* of DADT.
If one is homosexual, they are now free to declare it proudly—if one is religiously or personally opposed—it’s them that fall under DADT.
Those who are not homosexual best keep their mouth shut, if they intend to keep their job.
If that means a homosexual is now under my bed, they will be very disgusted with me or very bored—but hey!— it’s 1984 and the homosexual can prob’ly have me kicked out of my own bed for being offensive to their sensibilities. *rolls eyes*
Tammy Bruce is a great American.
I call BS on that! Clinton negotiated the DADT with SAM NUNN “DEMOCRAT” from GEOGIA! You are so full of it tonight! By the way... Sarah gay? Now you are spreading wholesale lies.
pissant is right about Falcon. They are conservatives and want nothng more than to prevent another McCain like candidacy. I have’t read it in a wnile, but it surely was comforting to read after the mess in 2008.
Prozac-it’s what’s for dinner.
Here is Pissants worst nightmare folks

Bret Bair “At 3:22 AM Eastern Time Fox News can project that Sarah Palin has been elected President of the United States. Sarah Palin has won the state of Florida”.
Clinton wanted to do something about the gays who were covertly serving in the military and in danger of being outed. He negotiated DADT with Sam Nunn, D-GA - to “protect” them from being forcefully outed - which was ratified by Congress in 1993. In 1999 PFC Winchell was murdered by PFC Glover purportedly because Glover thought Winchell was gay, Hillary Clinton got involved and condemned the DADT policy as contributing to the harassment of gays in the military. They basically set up a policy and then turned around and condemned it, so they could open the door to openly gay service in the military. Idiot conservatives fall into line fighting each other over this policy , while all along it was a Democrat construction. Of course there is no excuse for the RINOs who went along with the entire charade.
You're an idiot, pissant.
