Did Sarah Palin Just Tweet Her Position on 'Homos'?
Gawker ^ | 1/3/11 | Max Read

Former vice presidential candidate and reality television star Sarah Palin has remained quiet over the recent repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell. But she may have just made a statement... by re-Tweeting a conservative lesbian's columnist's Tweet about 'homos.'

Around 10 p.m. Eastern time on Monday night, conservative pundit Tammy Bruce Tweeted about the recent repeal of the military's discriminatory Don't Ask Don't Tell policy:

But this hypocrisy is just truly too much. Enuf already—the more someone complains about the homos the more we should look under their bed
Tue Jan 04 03:12:46 via web

The idea being, one imagines, that those who are most vocally anti-gay are the people who are most likely to be gay themselves, or at least to have, like, gay stuff "under their bed." Not the most original observation in the world, no—but look who apparently agrees with it!

I detest the calling it the *repeal* of DADT, it was the *transfer* of DADT.

If one is homosexual, they are now free to declare it proudly—if one is religiously or personally opposed—it’s them that fall under DADT.

Those who are not homosexual best keep their mouth shut, if they intend to keep their job.

If that means a homosexual is now under my bed, they will be very disgusted with me or very bored—but hey!— it’s 1984 and the homosexual can prob’ly have me kicked out of my own bed for being offensive to their sensibilities. *rolls eyes*

pissant is right about Falcon. They are conservatives and want nothng more than to prevent another McCain like candidacy. I have’t read it in a wnile, but it surely was comforting to read after the mess in 2008.

Clinton wanted to do something about the gays who were covertly serving in the military and in danger of being outed. He negotiated DADT with Sam Nunn, D-GA - to “protect” them from being forcefully outed - which was ratified by Congress in 1993. In 1999 PFC Winchell was murdered by PFC Glover purportedly because Glover thought Winchell was gay, Hillary Clinton got involved and condemned the DADT policy as contributing to the harassment of gays in the military. They basically set up a policy and then turned around and condemned it, so they could open the door to openly gay service in the military. Idiot conservatives fall into line fighting each other over this policy , while all along it was a Democrat construction. Of course there is no excuse for the RINOs who went along with the entire charade.

Clinton did not create DADT. That was the compromise reached with the GOP.

You're an idiot, pissant.

Palin’s retweets are news, and this could be seen as newsworthy. Pissant alleges that Palin is not conservative enough. I just was looking at Tammy Bruces twitter page. Filled with gay stuff. I liked when Sarah RT the Christine tweet. But this one was not good.

It appears that Sarah agrees with the theory, which I believe was invented by gays, that people who don’t agree with the gay agenda are gay themselves. Democrats love this argument.

It’s one thing to say something like “the rules pre DADT were fine”, another to call supporters of DADT gay themselves.

Sarah was agreeing with an extremely progay message. If conservatives wanted to think that one through, it would trouble some.

Pissant will surely have a spamlike list of links in a couple months, probably to his posts here, of “reasons why Sarah Palin is not conservative” and this one would likely make the list.

I tried having that very conversation with someone but did not express myself well, I think. I was not researched enuf...so it was more theoretical discussions than factual. If you would br kind enough to point me in the right direction for hard facts\data... I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

I digress, so I am left to repeat myself, because it's very late and Red Eye is over.

Let's see what Sarah Palin has to say about her retweet. I've never seen any indication that she supports the homosexual agenda, and for the record, I do not like her friendship with Tammy Bruce. Friendships like those, always lead to trouble. Homosexuals and lesbians always want *something* in return for their limited support that our side never needs.

Wouldn’t it be great to hear those words ?

I was watching footage on YouTube from the 1960 Election with two legends in my business (broadcasting) Chet Huntley and David Brinkley. You could feel the tension coming through the black and white picture on the computer screen 50 years later as the election was so close. Leaned Kennedy, tightened and then went back toward Kennedy. eventually Nixon pretty much concedes in the pre dawn hours ! Kennedy gives his victory speech on a beautiful sunny day.

Imagine what the tension will be as we build up to that moment for Palin !

For me, the point is... what in the heck does sexuality have to do with those who defend this country.

If someone kicks in my door tonight and I shoot them dead defending my home—where and how did my sex or sexuality ever matter?

If I am a security guard, my lifestyle may differ from the next, but I was hired to do a job and my sex and sexuality matters not. I do the job I was hired to do.

If feelings are the end all— how about all the ‘military brats’ who live without a parent, I’m sure they would like ‘fair’.

Where does it start, where does it end? I don’t see it—I just see a door opened that opens more and more never ending.

I don’t believe military was ever meant to be ‘fair’...

Perhaps I need new glasses but I see nothing but problems and less equality in all this mess.

I served in four units as permanent party: I Corps Group in Korea, the 1st Cavalry Division at Ft. Hood, the 2nd Infantry Division in Korea and the 5th Mech. Infantry Division at Fort Polk. I don’t recall the female soldiers at any of those postings hurting the Army. Most of my direct supervisors and one of my company commanders were female soldiers.

Well, your experience was far different than mine and those I've heard of. I was 3ID, infantry, so no women except for one support company in each battalion. Our support company was roughly one third to one half female, and, in any given formation, a good half of those women were pregnant. A pregnant woman means someone else has to pull her weight, even in the rear, but when we deployed to the Middle East, all of the pregnant ones stayed behind. Of course, once we got to the Middle East, the remaining women had ample opportunity to get pregnant, especially if they wanted to leave. How many did that, I couldn't tell you, because my buttocks went out into forward areas where I didn't see any women for months.

I did, however, get the chance, now and then, to talk to guys in support units, truck drivers and the like, who were full of horror stories about their female peers. Secondhand info, I know, but entirely plausible from what I had seen so far.

Here's another example to look at: remember Jessica Lynch and her unlucky platoon? The media tried to pump up her role in the firefight to make her out to be GI Jane, but we eventually found out that it was a guy in her platoon who did the shooting she was credited for. Why would they pump her up? Political correctness, my friend, the same political correctness that infects the services more each day that women are present, that won't allow us to recognize women's inherent physical inferiority. Now imagine what the outcome there might have been if that platoon had been all-male, trained in combat tactics and kept in top shape. But no, political correctness prevents us from saying that women can't do as well in a tough fight, and we also know that women can't adhere to the physical standards set for men, so forget the 42 pushups, 72 situps and 15 minute 2 mile run. Instead, let them be as fat and soft as they want to be so that we can say we've got a equal opportunity Army for women. And by the way, since the women can't handle the regular training, let's dumb it down for the men in their units also.

And as long as we're giving in to political correctness, let's make the fellows have to take "sensitivity training" periodically so that they can get in touch with their sensitive sides, and know how to bow down to female over-sensitivity even when in a combat zone. It's also a wonderful thing to have your career-minded officer corps more worried about the latest social engineering than about being combat-ready.
