From June 1, the first day of class: "One day down and nineteen to go. We do have one student in the class who was disruptive today, I'm not certain yet if he was on drugs (as one person surmised) or disturbed. He scares me a bit. The teacher tried to throw him out and he refused to go, so I talked to the teacher afterward. Hopefully he will be out of class very soon, and not come back with an automatic weapon."
From June 10: "As for me, Thursday means the end to week two of algebra class. It seems to be going by quickly, but then I do have three weeks to go so we'll see how I feel by then. Class isn't dull as we have a seriously disturbed student in the class, and they are trying to figure out how to get rid of him before he does something bad, but on the other hand, until he does something bad, you can't do anything about him. Needless to say, I sit by the door."
From June 14: "We have a mentally unstable person in the class that scares the living crap out of me. He is one of those whose picture you see on the news, after he has come into class with an automatic weapon. Everyone interviewed would say, Yeah, he was in my math class and he was really weird. The class's instructor, Ben McGahee, said in an interview Sunday that Loughner had been removed from class in its third or fourth week, because of repeated disruptions.

I’m as pro gun as you can get but this guy should have made the mental list and not been able to buy.
I wonder if anyone will come forward to explain that they really felt uncomfortable in class with him because he was constantly mumbling to himself about how "this is all going to come to a screeching halt when Sarah becomes president" and "my life has completely fallen apart since that awful Barack Obama got into the White House" ?

No one with any intellect is buying what the MSM is selling. This dude was a leftist by every measure and there is little to do to spin it otherwise.
Yeah, pretty hard to get around that IMHO. The kid is a known nut and I think the local sheriff is at least partially responsible for not putting his behaviors on record so he couldn’t just waltz into the local sporting goods store and stick a Glock in his Hello Kitty backpack.
The world's full of potential weapons. Rather than keep every last one of them out of the hands of people this crazy, people this crazy should be should be freaking institutionalized, not walking around in public!
I have a co-worker that behaves just as odd as the shooter did in class. The same antics, laughing out lot, senseless ramblings, weird topics of conversations that don’t fit in with the rest of the office, strange causes like literacy, etc. We have tried to get our HR and higher ups alerted but they are more concerned about wrongful termination than how our co-worker (who is a white male) harrasses minorities (women, blacks, arabs). Political correctness has running rampant in corporate America.
Me and my co-workers are keeping an eye on him(he is in Facebook) and any quick changes in behavior. I am and have encouraged others to bring firearms on person to work to take the necessary actions if they arise.
But reading about the behavior of the shooter is essentially identical to what we have at work.

It seems very similar to the Seung-Hui Cho case. Loughner’s drug usage is unknown but I would not be surprised to see he had falsified an answer to 11-E on Form 4473. Also, it’s clear to many people that if the honest answer to 11-F was “No,” then a lot of people came up short.
I guess the moral of the story is we’re not even sure he was legally able to buy a gun. He may have openly lied on 4473, which would be completely unsurprising.
This would explain the Sheriff’s worry. If it was a Country Community College then any campus police referral would go to the counties sheriff’s dept.
I would like to know what his parents did on his behalf. Clearly they knew he was disturbed....in the extreme.
Did they provide him with marijuana?
A person has to try *REALLY* hard to get tossed put of college for speech nowadays. About the only thing that will do it is bad mouthing a protected minority or the sissies.
