...peddle it to your fellow DUers.

Smoking is mostly a liberal trait. Addicting children too, although some here seem to tolerate it.

Millions of conservatives have including myself, have marched into voting booths and freely chosen to restrict cigarettes. Democracy works.

“Smoking is mostly a liberal trait.”

Prove it.

(I’m not a smoker.)

So much gene damage might have something to do with why they are so very, very stupid. I have often noticed how much smoking "liberals" do.

It is not really a liberal or conservative issue. It is a generational issue. Previous generations valued freedom and did not turn to government for the answers to their problems. These days, both conservatives and liberals are extremely dependent on government for their happiness and well being and value freedom much less than previous generations.

The other thing is that previous generations understood the concept of a greater good. The current generation, both conservative and liberal, are extremely narcissistic and just want what they want, and care little how they get it.

By this statement, you have scrapped any credibility you might have had.

And of course, scienists are never wrong. Ask Al Gore.

That's another one of your lies Drango......Most of the anti-smoking laws across this country were passed by legislators without consent of the citizens, including my state of Michigan.

The few laws that were passed via local voting laws were based on a majority of the voters who voted. The sad fact about that statistic is that only approximately 47 percent of the registered voters in those communities voted and most of the decisions in favor of the bans accumulated only about 54 percent of the vote.

Why is this significant? Because the bans that were passed by the voters only represented approx. 27 percent of the citizens in those respective communities.

In other words, 73 percent of the individuals in those communities had no problem with smokers but the minority were able to get their way simply because they voted. That's what's called "Tyranny by the minority".........

No, telling your fellow citizens how to live is a liberal trait. Why don’t you get an issue put on the ballot to ban alcohol and overeating, to force people to exercise and wear sunscreen? Maybe overweight, out of shape people with sunburns should be jailed? Did you get to vote on the seatbelt law also? We did not. They did not allow the people to vote on smoking restrictions where I live either. I doubt it would have passed here.
