My local school district is offering free tutoring and school breakfast. I mention both because in order to receive the free tutoring, you have to already have “qualified” for free breakfast. My “friend” the teacher told me about this. She has to come in an hour early so she gets paid the going tutoring rate for one hour per day in addition to her regular salary. No children were actually tested to see if they needed this extra help in preparation for a grade level state English test, you just had to be considered poor I guess. My kids don’t need tutoring but how fair is that if they did?

I almost long for that day. Just as a pustule must be popped to release the pus, we may have to treat the boil that is welfare and the freeloaders that abuse it.

The permanent underclass is permanently dependent, and while the abuse of the system is notorious they are being aborted to extinction in the process. Nobody has lost as much in this country to the Bronze Horde invasion on our southern border as the permanent underclass did, and they’re slowly realizing it as the newcomers line up with them for the freebies and ahead of them for jobs. Whole cities have literally fallen to the invasion, and all of the political power, patronage positions, government funding and such have gone with them. Soon Jesse Jackson Jr. will be holding court on some reservation somewhere, while our State of the Union address is delivered in Spanish with English subtitles.

The money is running out; have you seen the layoffs in Camden NJ yesterday? They’re about to re-claim their title as murder capital of the country; I don’t envy anyone living there, even if they get cradle-to-grave free food, housing, etc. (and free housing comes with some restrictions on where you live). Their affirmative-action civil servants are being turned loose into the worst job market in recent history, and after the school crossing guards turn in for the afternoon it is best to not be caught outdoors. Somebody recently questioned the role of race in much of the budget issues in cities; there was a picture of current council members (all black) and the retired municipal employees (all white) that were the economic albatross around the neck of the municipality. All of the intended looting that began when the “we won” crowd started passing dough around has come to a jarring halt, and economic reality has set in.

Paving the way for year round school IMHO. After that, school will be 7 days a week. The argument will be that children can’t go without food for two days. Not sure of your state but a huge % of kids receiving low cost/free breakfast and lunches in my county/state are from the middle class. Getting the kids use to relying on the government as a sow. Just a thought.

President Cloward-Piven was planning on it running out. Overwhelm the system.

So why have food stamps?

What gets my goat is that people on public welfare can have a higher standard of living than people who work full time.

So these kids will be at school until after 6 o’clock? That means teachers, janitors and bus drivers will have to be getting overtime. And what about a good night’s sleep? Millions of children can’t get a good nights sleep because they don’t have proper beds.

Well, not necessarily. There are privately funded programs that do not use tax dollars. I’m not sure yet how to find out where the funding for our school comes from.
