The French population has hit 65 million for the first time, according to Insee, with women having over 800,000 babies in 2010, boosting the countrys fertility rate. France's statistics agency says the increase is due to a rise in the fertility rate in France rather than to immigration.
On average, women have 2.01 children, the highest fertility rate since the end of the baby-boom. French women are having their children later than ever, with women giving birth at the age of thirty-years-old on average. These women are responsible for the increased fertility rate.
The French had a lot of babies in 2010, despite the financial crisis which could have discouraged parents-to-be from having children. France has one of the hightest fertility rates in Europe, outperforming all European states except Ireland, where women have on average 2.07 children in their lifetime.
Much like Ireland, Frances fertility rate has almost reached the threshold at which the population has just enough babies to replace itself.
France growth rate is lively and more regular than other European countries, said Pascale Breuil, head of Insees demographic study department, during a press conference.
Life expectancy in France has also increased with women living to over 84-years-old and men to over 78-years-old.
Despite the increase in the fertility rate, Frances population continues to age with over-65s accounting for 16.8 per cent of the population.

Most of them Muslim.
How many of those babies are from Muslim immigrants vs. ethnic French?
In another story...90% of the babies born in france are to french muslims of algerian descent./s
French women are having 2.01 children. With the average French muzzie sow birthing 9-10 piglets each, what’s that do for the non-muzzie average? Way below 2.01, that’s what.
# until 1795 metropolitan France was the most populous country of Europe, above even Russia, and the third most populous country in the world, behind only China and India
# between 1795 and 1866, metropolitan France was the second most populous country of Europe, behind Russia, and the fourth most populous country in the world, behind China, India, and Russia
# between 1866 and 1911, metropolitan France was the third to fourth most populous country of Europe, behind Russia and Germany and, later, Austria-Hungary
# between 1911 and 1931, metropolitan France was the fifth most populous country of Europe, behind Russia, Germany, Austria-Hungary, and the United Kingdom
# between 1931 and 1991, metropolitan France was the fifth most populous country of Europe, behind Russia, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Italy
# between 1991 and 2000, metropolitan France recovered its rank as the fourth most populous country of Europe, behind Russia, Germany, and the United Kingdom
# since 2000, metropolitan France has recovered its rank as the third most populous country of Europe, behind Russia and Germany. Worldwide, France’s ranking has fallen to twentieth most populous country.
# if current demographic trends continue (i.e. declining population in Germany, and slightly rising population in France and the UK), around 2050 metropolitan France could again surpass the population of Germany, becoming the most populous state in the European Union.
“With the average French muzzie sow birthing 9-10 piglets each...”
And who is paying the expenses of raising them?
Muslim Europe is going to have to be eradicated sooner or later. Sooner is better.
all of them named Mohammed or some variant...
Out of the 8 comments ahead of this, 7 point out the Muslim connection (the other doesn’t really address the point of the article).
Yet the write simply ignores the ELEPHANT in the room that every Frank knows. That is what’s scary and that is why Marine LePen will be their next leader and will start addressing the issue.
BONEJUR! I CAN HAS HALAL BEBEH?
BONEJUR! I CAN HAS HALAL BEBEH?
Pffft... My great grandmother had 18 children.
The French have really gone soft since the since her day.
Not necessarily. Statistics can yield non-intuitive results.
It stands to reason that a Muslim woman having her, e.g., ninth child will be older even than a typical ethnic French woman having her first, thus skewing the statistics.
This is a carefully sanitized article. No mentions of muzzl’ems.
This quote is fun: “France’s statistics agency says the increase is due to a rise in the fertility rate in France rather than to immigration.”
Yeah, a muzzl’em and his ‘wife’ enter France and the population goes up by two, while probably three old Frenchies die. Then the muzzles go on to have 8 kids.
Net immigration, -1. Population gain, 7.
The fertility rate of North African Muslims in North Africa has fallen considerably in the last decade.
France now has the same fertility rate as Tunisia.
France now has a higher fertility rate than Algeria. (Algeria fertility rate 2010 = 1.8)
France will have a similar fertility rate to Morocco within a decade:
MoroccoDemographic Indicators 2010 1995 2005 2015 2025
Total fertility rate (births per woman) 2.2 3.3 2.4 2.1 2.0
And who is paying the expenses of raising them?We will be soon, when we start paying income taxes to the UN.
There is no question that a disproportionate number of births in France come from immigrants, particularly Muslims of Arab and African descent. The birth announcements section of any newspaper leaves no doubt.
If you want more proof, you can take a look at the average kindergarten in cities and suburb. French babies are few and far between.
