I don't think she will run. I am afraid a bit that she might because I don't think she has a prayer in the general election but I don't think she will.

Since quitting, her efforts have been primarily about building up the Palin brand and its fortunes (which is fine except for the quitting part).

Her support of conservative candidates has been a positive thing.

Her grabbing (or making) headlines by being confrontational has served a purpose (multiple purposes in fact, including personal enrichment).

Certain folks here say that she had to quit in order to devote herself to running for the White House but that's nonsense. If she had not quit she would be a private citizen today with plenty of time to set-up a campaign. The fact that there are almost two years left and nobody has declared yet shows this.

And, nothing she has done since walking away from public office has done even a little bit to enhance her very slim CV or make her better qualified for the toughest job on the planet.

Reality TV, book tours, Facebook/Twitter, paid speaking engagements, sitting in the audience of DWTS all keep her name viable and profitable but they are not the stuff of effective Presidents.

“And BTW, shy do YOU think Sarah is “polarizing?” The whole “polarizing” mantra is another big lie ginned up by Team Obama and spread around by his MSM lackies”

Its not my fault that poll after poll shows Palin with high negatives. The Conservative base loves her to death including me but she can’t win with just the base voting for her. We will need a lot of independents. She has serious work to do to bring those people on board. There are lot of people who view her leaving the AK governorship early as a sign of a quitter.

I agree with you the debates will sort all this out and we will end up with a GOP nominee. It has to be somebody who can win. 2012 is an election we cannot afford to lose. I personally think Bachmann would appeal to the independents.

That's an outright lie. Nobody here has suggested such as a thing except some of your PDS buddies.

There are other candidates that are not so polarizing that have a real chance at getting elected. Michelle Bachmann is a lot better candidate than Sarah Palin. She just is. Sorry. And I’m a mega conservative and a tea partier.
I too am a "mega conservative and a tea partier" and I share your enthusiasm for Bachmann but before you pat yourself on the back for being such a "realist" I have to point out the obvious to you: House Reps have an extremely difficult road to the Presidency.

Has it ever been done? Certainly not in modern times.

Obama. Senator.
Bush II. Governor.
Clinton. Governor.
Bush I. VP.
Reagan. Governor.
Carter. Governor.
Nixon. VP.
Johnson. Senator.
Kennedy. Senator.
Eisenhower. General.
Truman. VP.
Roosevelt (FDR). Governor.
Hoover. Sec Commerce.
Coolidge. Governor.
Harding. Senator.
Wilson. Governor.
Taft. Governor-General of the Philippines
Roosevelt (Teddy). Governor.

And that's it for Presidents elected in the 20th and 21st centuries. Not a single House Rep among them.

So yes, I like Bachmann... BUT...

Sarah Palin - Leader of the Opposition.
I'm sorry, but anyone who doesn't see this as obviously and self-evidently true is an ignorant slut.

I agree but I think 2012 is going to be a different year. Things are wide open this time around thanks to the Tea Party may it live forever.

LOL! Obama’s ‘win the future’ theme was also Newt Gingrich’s book title, “Winning The Future.” But reducing it to ‘WTF’ moments according to Sarah is really funny.
Comrade Gingrich's best WTF moment was on the couch with Nancy.

Well, we’ll see. I do believe that more important than the standard metrics of “experience” and “resume” is the subject of huge early unity among Republicans. If we end up with a divided primary, with a RINO still doing strong late in the primary game, then we are done for.

We need a conservative to win big, and win early.

That means all conservatives (at a minimum) getting behind a single candidate as early as possible.

The other “candidates” actually DON’T oppose Obama.

They may “differ” or “civilly disagree”.

Anyone who does not resolutely OPPOSE Obama, who does not OPPOSE his agenda and want him to fail is unqualified.

You tell me - who else is there?

Palin is at the ridicule/fight stage. they want to take it back to the ignore stage with their MSM boycott in FEB. that ship has already sailed so it will fail.

Jim, I agree with you. I agree with your original statement. Palin is THE leader of the opposition.

Maybe I expressed myself poorly... but I was agreeing with you.

I questioned the judgment OTHER PEOPLE, those who don’t see the truth of your words.

Well, for those touting "WTF moments," Ms. Palin had one of her own in the interview:

VAN SUSTEREN: Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin is still with us. And Governor, last night there was a lot of discussion about the Sputnik moment that the president talked about. Do you agree with him? Do you -- and is this our moment?

PALIN: That was another one of those WTF moments, when he so often repeated this Sputnik moment that he would aspire Americans to celebrate. And he needs to remember that what happened back then with the former communist USSR and their victory in that race to space, yes, they won, but they also incurred so much debt at the time that it resulted in the inevitable collapse of the Soviet Union.

This is probably the only thing that will survive that interview, because it's a silly mistake. Sputnik did not bankrupt the Soviet Union.

Sputnik kicked off the space race ... and for those keeping track, the Russians are still doing pretty well in that department.

The arms race, especially in the Reagan era, is what bankrupted the Soviets.

As one leftish commentator put it, "... and only took 34 years for Sputnik to bankrupt the Soviet Union -- a mere blink of the eye."

Your welcome. I post Governor Palins Record frequently, whenever I can. Her so called detractors usually have no idea of her experience. She is clearly far more qualified than Obama was when he was inaugurated.
