As a private citizen now, he can pretty much do as he wishes.

But, that won’t stop the left from demonizing him and blaming every single societal ill on him.

The ex-President told C-SPAN he has no plans to raise cash, stump for Republican candidates and even appear on television.

What a coincidence! I have no plans to buy his book or even read it.

Pissant,

When he first ran nobody thought much of him and some were chastised for considering him (rumors of posters banned), during the middle of term he was the best President since apple pie on FR. Towards the end of the last term many on FR were glad to see him leave office.

It can be a cruel world out there, even on FR.

I voted for him twice, enthusiastically, more or less. Defended him until his amnesty plan came to light.

At least, it is class Carter and Clinton don’t exhibit.

There is a list of 40 accomplishments on my homepage for FR.

The US India alliance would probably alone justify positive reviews.

The fact that “great leaders” such as Obama and McCain have a shared contempt for the man suggests another measure of greatness in having the right enemies.

The 4.7% unemployment rate was as noted in my signature excellent.

The repeated warnings to Congress regarding the Fannie Mae induced housing crisis are another.

The fact that the bailout was required to be paid back with interest and in fact was carried out as delineated is another.

I have that photo hanging in my window just above my mailbox. The postal workers know my politics. It is amusing to see the reactions.

He doesn’t owe anybody anything anyway.
An apology would be manly.

Former President Obama might actually be able to do more harm than Former President Carter, and he’s probably going to have more time to do it.

Spot on. He'll be a bigger mouth than Sharpton and Jackson combined.

Which is exactly what former Presidents have been doing until Carter and Clinton decided they were above 200 plus years of precedence.

President George W. Bush served with class, went out with class and in his post presidential years continues with that same class.

OKAY okay okay ....that amnesty idea was a loser...but the prescription drug thing was a winnner ...and cheap to. Plus any friend of Harriet Meirs...is a friend of mine. Wait...Ann Coulter didn’t think that nomination was so hot...so i don’t either....forget it. (and the prescription drug thing pretty much stinks to)

That's great, Mr. President.

You'll go out there and make millions of dollars for yourself selling books but you won't lift a finger to help get people elected who want to fix this country.

Thanks. For nothing.

President George W. Bush served with class, went out with class and in his post presidential years continues with that same class.

That says it all. My respect for Pres. GW Bush has only risen since he first took office. He did what he thought was right, regardless of what popular opinion dictated and he kept his campaign promises. History will be very kind to him.

The dude bankrupted the country by refusing to use the veto pen for the first five and a half years in office...

You are guilty of posting unpleasantly accurate stuff on a Bush Thread. Very unsporting of you.

As a Bush fan, I am just grateful that he said something. Anything. If this Bush guy could have spoken once in a while, we would not be living under the rule of The Mombasa Moonbeam.
