In what could be a potential giveaway to Gov. Mick Huckabees 2012 aspirations, Race42012 has reported that Huckabees presidential committee Huckabee for President, Inc has filed termination paperwork with the Federal Election Commission. Though Mike Huckabees political action committee HuckPAC is still an entity and has filed its normal year end report, this could show clear signs that Mike Huckabee has decided not to seek the office of President in 2012. However, this could also mean that Mike Huckabee is in fact gearing up for a 2012 run, with a possible re-structure of committee. I also said earlier, that if Mike Huckabee doesnt run, it could put Sarah Palin in the lead for the GOP Nomination.

I must add an important caveat: as I am not thoroughly versed in FEC campaign laws, it is not precisely clear what this filing means but we will keep digging to find out. Closing this committee could be indicative of Gov. Huckabee retiring old debts incurred in his 2008 presidential run in order to open a new committee for his 2012 campaign, or it could simply be the settling of old accounts. The timing, however, is interesting. Stay tuned for more details and analysis as the situation becomes more clear. As Drudge says, developing

I still believe that the deck was stacked for McCain in 2008 as his price for not running against Bush in 2004. If you'll recall, McCain had a long ponderous time deciding not to run with the media egging him on until he decided not to and gave George that famous onstage hug.
I believe a deal was struck by the Bush camp in 2004 that they would stand clear of the 2008 race. Almost never does a two-term president not set the stage for his successor (usually his VP). Reagan did it. Clinton did it. Eisenhauer did it. For some strange reason, Bush didn't. That makes me think a deal was struck to clear the path for McCain and that's how we were stuck with him.
Yes, it would.
PLEASE! Let it be SO!
What evidence is there? He didn't do it in 2008 when McCain "won" the nomination.
“If Governor Bush gets the GOP nomination, at this point, he will be the third member of his family to be President.”
Correction.....Forth...... Barbara Bush is the Grandaughter of Franklin Pierce......
Hopefully none.
Besides Palin and Bachman, none of these repubs, Rinos or whatnot generate any electricity at all. That 2008 line up was a snooze fest, and looks like its going to be more of the same. Obama wins re-election hands down if its Romney or the Huckster. He probably still wins anyway regardless of who it is.
Huck’s likeable fellow alright, but not what we need now. We need someone with some mojo, and the guts to put a choke hold on these socialists. Someone willing to stare them in the eye, and tell them to go ...themselves. Not on my watch!
Exactly right.
And he's a big-time big-government lib who believes that the government exists as a tool for others to run our lives.
Huck bothers me even more than Romney, but why should anyone care how old a presidential candidate thinks the Earth is?
The powers that be in the Republican establishment are getting ready to Push Jeb Bush on us. In case anyone has not noticed.
Been watching that, if the GOP does it, they WILL lose... Again!
I can hope...
Do we really need another Prez from Arkansas? rhet.
Your mother wears army boots :)
Now if he had not done this, Romney would have probably won the nod, and we would never have had Sarah Palin? Unless Romney picked her, but probably unlikely, so we probably have Huck to thank for Sarah Palin.
Thanks atleast for that Huck

Willard the movie is also the source of this, the only known love song to a rat.
woot!
see ya huckster, stick to TV!
Because it embarrasses the party to have ignoramuses representing it. It was brought up in the debates last time and will likewise be brought up this time.
