I thought the Bedouin hated the Arabs.

Israel should give Egypt about 60 days to regain control of the Sanai. If they don’t, Israel should nuke Iran, Syria, Yemen and Pakistan.

Beduins are Arabs - of the indigenous desert tribes. In their culture, they tend to look down upon villagers and city Arabs as lesser beings. But this is just a cultural prejudice, and usually not taken seriously.

However, there is a recent and bitter illfeeling between the Beduin of the Sinai and the Egyptian police. They say the police have been brutal to them. The police say that the Beduin are involved in people smuggling and illegal trade over the Israeli border.

Surely the question is - who is supplying the Beduin with these weapons?

There is something strange going on.

Under the agreement signed at the beginning that governed the Multinational Force and Observers, I believe that there was always to be one batallion of American troops in the Sinai. They were usually stationed just north of Sharm al-Sheikh. A second batallion of foreign troops was to be stationed at the MFO base south of El Arish. I wonder if this has changed?

Egypt has just sent another 900 troops. It is important to remember this is a demilitarized zone under their Treaty, However, Israel welcomes the Egyptians in this instance.

Israel no longer has troops trained in desert warefare; they were disbanded in 79. Perhaps it will be Israeli UAVs warmed up, but no troops.

Location of one of the mountains called Sinai. The most likely real hill aka mountain, is located in the heart of a Saudi military zone. No access permitted, but is apparently surounded with sites dated to the time of Mosses, unlike the one on the Sinai Pen.

It isn’t that civilization has passed them by or that racists or Zionists have impoverished them, but that they completely reject civilization and prefer destruction, mayhem and death.

Their god calls for it.

Their “god” calls for bringing the entire human race to Paradise, by whatewver means necessary, as soon as possible.

The Bedouin were there before there was an Egypt.

The Bedouin were there before there was a modern Egypt.

The police say that the Beduin are involved in people smuggling and illegal trade over the Israeli border.

So do the Israelis and Hamas.

They have a nomadic lifestyle and carry the weapons. That’s typical in these third world gun control paradises, everyone goes around armed anyway, at least when they’re away from urban areas. :’)

Thanks for the link. I checked it out, and found it very interesting.

Many Turkish Muslims believe that the Mt. Sinai referred to in the Old Testament is indeed in Saudi Arabia.
