Fellow Reporters Heartlessly Mock Lara Logan After Assault
Babble ^ | 2/15/11 | CAROLYN CASTIGLIA

As Mary Elizabeth Williams wrote earlier this evening over at Salon, several reporters and bloggers have “decided to hinge the story” of Lara Logan’s rape “on the blond reporter’s looks.” Simone Wilson’s LA Weekly post mocks Logan’s beauty, saying, “Egyptian protesters apparently consummated their newfound independence by sexually assaulting the blonde reporter.” Consummated? Unconscionable.

The Mofo Politics blog featured a post on February 3rd, saying, “OMG if I were her captors and there were no sanctions for doing so? I would totally rape her.”

I would agree that this woman did not deserve to be raped, but I will say that some people (child rapists) do deserve it. My problem with this woman and the other reporters who were attacked is that they and thier companies did not take safety precautions. In the kind of situations they should have security with them to prevent attacks.

That’s like saying: “Well, he was a father of three and a loving husband. I don’t know why he poked that wolf with a stick.”

You do not understand that it is in the Muslim psyche to behave this way because it is not WRONG for them to do so. You sense of right and wrong are foreign to them. They are scorpions.

Just so we cover both ends of the “she was raped, But” spectrum consider the following:

” A journalist named Nir Rosen doesn't like Lara Logan, the CBS News reporter, because, he argues, she is a “warmonger.”
“Jesus Christ, at a moment when she is going to become a martyr and glorified we should at least remember her role as a major war monger” wrote Rosen.

The story of two Pearls

Daniel Pearl was another journalist attacked by evil men in the Middle East. He was beheaded.

How long did it take us to forget about him? The media will soon forget about this evil too, or try to mollify its intensity. Who knows? Perhaps even Lara Logan will contribute later to their template by praising the few who rescued her--BUT the images of what evil men do are undeniable: western men and women are murdered just because they EXIST.

Nicholas Berg was beheaded, security workers in Fallujah were set afire and hung from bridges, missionaries were killed in Afghanistan, THERE IS NO END to the carnage.

Hell, we had an army chaplain MURDER SOLDIERS ON OUR OWN SOIL.

Yet the Dear Reader comes out and tells us not to jump to conclusions.

What happened to Ms. Logan is sickening--and it ought to make us angry. Angry at the men who attacked her and even angrier at the liberal mindset that allows us to so easily FORGET these atrocities.

I swear, what if we lived with this mindset back in 1941?

What if after Pearl Harbor we were told not to jump to conclusions, that the Japanese enemies were merely frustrated at American presence in the Far East?

What if our leaders told us not to jump to conclusions? That is just what is happening now...we had a President who took the threat seriously, and now we have one who winks at it.

Makes me sick to think our children are growing up in such a world.

We've got to change it folks: we cannot forget Daniel Pearl, just like another generation wouldn't forget Pearl Harbor.

I did not post in response to Muslim rapists’ comments. I posted in response to FReeper comments, as I understand that it was WRONG for them to mock and blame the victim of rape.

In addition, they should know that their comments will be fodder for the opposition.

That is totally unnecessary. You deflect, the rapists need to be killed, it was not her fault, she did not deserve this. You echo the rapists views and it shows your stupidity. I have zero sympathy for your pathetic views. Anyone who derides a victim of muslim hate, rape and murder is no better than the muslims.

You are an asshole.

“I agree. The comments here were disturbing. FR ain’t what it used to be...”

Ditto.

Rape is not funny nor is it ever a woman’s “fault” by its very definition. It is a violent crime about power over a woman, committed by cowards.

“Sexy CBS siren Lara Logan spent her days covering the heat of the Iraq war - but that was nothing compared to the heat of her nights.”

“The “60 Minutes” reporter and former swimsuit model apparently courted two beaus while she was in Baghdad, and has been labeled a homewrecker for allegedly destroying the marriage of a civilian contractor there, sources said.”

This reminds me of the Al Wilson song “The Snake”. “Oh shut up, silly woman,” said the reptile with a grin
“You knew damn well I was a snake before you took me in...”

Not blaming this reporter at all. In a sense, all apologists for the religion of peace are the woman in this song. A snake will do what is in its character.

BTW, comments from these (supposedly) male reporters are disgusting. But I am not surprised at the attitude. Jerks! Disturbing.

Nidal Hasan’s business card describes him as a psychiatrist specializing in Behavioral Health – Mental Health – Life Skills.

Not a chaplain.

When it comes to child rapists, they deserve what they get. No sympathy for anyone who hurts an innocent child. I wonder why the media didn’t have security. Would that have “looked” bad and not supported the media/administration concept that this was a “freedom rally?” Did they actually believe that nothing would happen because why? They were journalists? IMHO

Then why make the claim that a chaplain murdered US soldiers?

See post 75 for the name you can’t remember.

And if you do find that this Soldier of Allah (piss be upon him) was a chaplain, ping me back.

America’s elites are to blame for this attack.

Our leaders, in and out of government are bound and determined to make everything fit their stereotype of how things SHOULD be that they ignore reality.

They insist on groveling to alien societal norms (muslims in western society) and ignoring their norms when being in their societies.

Hence sending female reporters into Arab mobs, sending Jewish negotiators to defuse problems in Muslim areas, sending female ambassadors to Muslim countries (As in Iraq at start of Gulf War)

I do not think anyone should be held back because of their sex or religion but a little common sense would defuse these problems, if you go to someone else’s house, at least do not deliberately antagonize them.

AND WHEN THEY COME INTO OURS, MAKE SURE THEY ABIDE BY OUR RULES OR KICK THEM OUT.

She is no an American than she is a blonde. South African America hating media liars and traitors get no sympathy in the midst of War. Too long we have been soft and our elected officials bent over with bipartianship and trying to please the Rat media in their weakness. Who believes our forefathers gained us this great freedom by giving succour to the enemy? We face a far greater enemy than they could ever imagined.

Do you think that Logan wont be right back at her job ASAP behaving any differently? She is a devoted citizen of the world make no mistake she and her ilk desire no less than complete domination and to subdue and crush all we hold dear and they have proven they will side with the very deizens of Hell to achieve their prize.

Wars are never won by exposing the soft underbelly of sympathy for the opposition. God save America and all who love her and scatter her enemies to the nothingness that they seek.
