Bahraini security forces have opened fire on anti-government protesters, witnesses and opposition activists say.
The protesters were fired on after they had streamed into the centre of the capital Manama from the funerals of protesters killed in a security crackdown earlier this week.
Witnesses said the army fired live rounds and tear gas, and officials said at least 25 people had been hurt.
Many of the protesters are calling for the overthrow of the royal family.

Thanks. If there's one positive that's come about with my family living in Bahrain its that it has definitely improved my prayer life, gray hairs not so much, prayer...oh boy howdy.
I think we have to worry about Obama everywhere until we can get him removed from office. The guy's a disaster waiting to happen.
Interesting you would mention that though. My daughter and I have had several discussions on the reality that she may be safer overseas than we are here in the states. Hope she's not prophetic but she may well be!
