MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Groups are taking the first steps toward recalling two Democratic state senators who have fled the Capitol to avoid a vote on an anti-union bill.

A group of citizens in Kenosha say they plan to file paperwork on Monday to form an exploratory committee to recall Robert Wirch of Pleasant Prairie.

In Eagle River, another group is preparing to file paperwork to form a committee to explore recalling Jim Holperin of Conover.

Wirch and Holperin are two of the 14 Senate Democrats boycotting the state Capitol to avoid a vote on Republican Gov. Scott Walker's bill...

Cowards. They did this in Texas a few years ago too. The slimy demos, led by the senator from my district, Leticia van de Fatt Butt, ran like children to new Mexico.

It’s one thing to bargain in bad faith, which the dems do all the time. It’s yet another to have no spine and not even show up. There ought be a law. I’m not kidding. You shouldn’t be able to pull stunts like this. It’s not funny.

Fine idea but what are their chances of succeeding considering the voting population of the districts.

Not offended and that was funny!

I am amused at the ridiculous hype our media is giving this protest. The children who are missing school will hopefully learn a lesson more valuable than anything they would be learning in their classroom.

Civil servants work for the people and the people have spoken. It’s about time for the Governor to explore the Reagan Air Traffic Controller option.

On the way home tonight listening to Jason Lewis show (not very familiar with him) and he had a great caller who had determined it took 25 private workers in the state to support each teacher with taxes. Guessing 20 of them have the sense to see how unsustainable that is and I bet they don’t get a pay raise everywhere or a retirement that compares for working 9.5 months out of the year.

I’m pretty sure both areas have Republican House members now after Nov elections. People are pretty pissed Statewide and I think fleeing the State instead of voting could be their political death sentence.

My State Senator, Tim Carpenter is also missing. I prefer, however, that he stay missing indefinitely. The longer they drag this out, the worse it gets for them and their union boss puppetmasters. Pretty soon, they’ll be suing for peace. I want to see them grovel.

The runaways are in a pickle. they are wanting to collectivly bargain for money that does not exist. Never forget. Socialism only works til it runs out of OPM. Well they are broke. Maybe they could give them some IOU’s. Actually Obama will use this to try to start bailing out the states.

I like the idea of separating a couple jackasses from the herd and targeting them.

The true Americans who have had enough of the Socialists are starting to speak. There should be paperwork filed in each district to recall each one. This could not happen soon enough.

The Dims in TX did this some years ago. The issue was the mid decade congressional redistricting - the brain child of Tom Delay. There was lots of smoke and dust and wailing and gnashing of teeth. They ran to NM and OK. It is sort of like waiting for the alcoholic to come back for the half empty 5th of whiskey. Sooner or later they came dragging back. And TX was redistricted, and the dust settled, and the balance shifted to the Republicans in the way it should have in the first place. Patience and stout hearts.

Don’t know any addresses. I actually got the image from a thread yesterday, and saved it for future reference. I also sent it out to our bulk email people so that word could get out around here.
