Speaking of naughty headlines, I went to a Catholic high school and was on the school newspaper. When Veterans Day rolled around, I proposed a headline to describe our school’s lead participation in the local parade. The nuns did not appreciate “ Notre Dame to lead annual V.D. parade”.

I have a real snake story. I was in an artist supply store in Santa Fe NM. There was a sign on the ladies bathroom that said it was ‘out of order’ but since all I wanted was to wash my hands I went in anyway. It was large for a rest room and in the middle of the room I saw a bean bag chair. Only it wasn’t a bean bag chair, it was the owners pet snake coiled up in the middle of the room. I was right on top of it before my brain registered what I was looking at. I almost had a heart attack before I could make my feet back up and get out of there. (Kind of a feet don’t fail me now moment) The other, really big snake, was coiled up around the toilet and I didn’t even see it. I was told the snakes were in the ladies restroom because their cages were being cleaned.

Don't you think if that was your store, and your snake that you would have at least locked the bath room door? Why didn't he put the snakes in the mens’ bathroom instead of the ladies? Was he afraid a man would have killed the snakes? Did he have a video camera rolling in there and am I on Youtube now? “Ha ha look at this woman when she sees the giant snake in a place where a giant snake is NOT supposed to be.”
