A couple of weeks ago I did a story about the new provost-elect at Kennesaw State University in Marietta, Georgia. Timothy Chandler was slotted to take over the job this July but it had been discovered that he had done a paper the slanted towards Marxism and once exposed ..there was a rather large backlash from the public. Well the people have spoken and Dr. Chandler has decided not to take the job.
(AJC) Accusations of Marxism and being un-American proved too much for Kennesaw State Universitys newly selected provost, who withdrew his acceptance of the position on Thursday.
Timothy Chandler, tapped last month as KSUs new provost, had been criticized in recent weeks for a 1998 academic paper he co-authored that cited Communist philosopher Karl Marx.
A local Cobb County newspaper accused Chandler of having an obvious fondness for Marx and vehement dislike of capitalism, and was critical of his association with the papers co-author who went on to publish theories linking the Bush administration to the 9/11 attacks.
The surrounding controversy sparked debate within the community on both sides of the issue and on KSUs campus.

Fire for effect.
Good its time to start smoking the red menace out.
Better late than never.
Finally, one of the infiltrators gets caught.
Good job, Bridget.
I teased my nice constantly that if she doesn’t study she’ll end up at Kennesaw. Perahaps I’m wrong for doing so.
Let’s try that again:
I teased my niece constantly that if she doesnt study shell end up at Kennesaw St. Perhaps Im wrong for doing so.
“Kennesaw State University”, wasn’t that Newtie’s School?
This is better news than people realize. For once, a God-hating, Commie symp reprobate has been prevented from taking a job at a university. It’s almost a miracle. The effort to drive out the Commies should be ramped up to warp speed. There are a lot of Reds to run out of town on a rail in every college town in America.
Kennesaw State University, wasnt that Newties School?
No. He taught at West Georgia in Carrolton.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newt_Gingrich
Gingrich taught history at the University of West Georgia (then called West Georgia College) in Carrollton, Georgia, from 1970 to 1978. He also taught a class, Renewing American Civilization, at Kennesaw State University (then called Kennesaw State College) in 1993.[10]
I attended a meeting where the Mayor of my fine city began the meeting this way: “I don't care about you, and I don't care about your problems............” I tell that story as often as I can and It gets easier and more fun, the more I do it.
Isn’t that usually considered a positive for these jobs? Nay, isn’t that usually a requirement?
Hey, a Doctorate in Discontent.
They have more work to do. My older sister has taught there for years. Her wish for the world: income equality. Sheesh!
It is worth noting that Kennesaw is the town that enacted a law requiring all households own a firearm (there are a lot of “outs” on that, it was mainly symbolic), and this is just barely outside the GA 6th, which is Newt’s old district. In other words, this is a *very* conservative area.
Isn’t Kennesaw State best known as a business school?
Certainly makes him an odd choice.
Well, now I guess it is time to clean out all the other universities, colleges and public schools and government....The cultural Marxists have been in control for decades. They still control the textbooks.
