Kristol: Palin probably won't, shouldn't be nominee
Politico ^ | March 230, 2011 | Ben Smith

Posted on 03/23/2011 9:47:13 AM PDT by EveningStar

Weekly Standard Editor Bill Kristol was among Sarah Palin's earliest Washington admirers, and helped bring her to the national stage, but he said this week that while he still admires her, he questions her choices and doesn't think she should be the Republican nominee for president.

“I loathe Kristol but I think he’s right here. I think Palin is great but the smear campaign from the media and “journolist” types is complete. The spoon-fed public largely believes she is an idiot. No amount of facts will change this perception now.”

The fight is over then. We are all soon to be socialists now?

“Common sense” is an oxymoron.

There was a time in America - and not so long ago - when many people were just too busy with their daily lives of work, play, and family to keep up with the political game and followed along only superficially...

Most would wait until late in the election season to decide to even go and vote at all, many of those picked from whomever was being talked about the most in line while waiting to vote, or they voted for whomever a friend suggested.

And far too many trusted and waited until the evening news or the newspaper editorial picked a candidate for them...I believe those days are gone.

Everyone is into the political scene - thanks to the internet passions run wild on both sides and opinions fly like quadaffi's libyan fighters.

What Bill Kristol, or Chris Matthews, or Katie Couric thinks these days is meaningless...the late night comedians aren't even using them for joke material. The people are more savvy about the candidates than the talking heads and the press is too afraid of losing their chair at the WH parties to ask any questions past dress designers names and college basketball picks.

But the people know - there is a bubbling undercurrent of voters just waiting to prove - again - how wrong the left, the MSM, and the RINO's are.

The pundits are doing the same thing with the possible candidates that obama has been doing with the basketball brackets...SPECULATING, and of course promoting their favorite in the end.

I think we're going to see an even bigger surprise and a bigger rout than we saw back in November. Someone might have to reach over and push Krisol's chin back up to closing his agaped-in-awe mouth about a week after the results are in.

Do you seriously think she can win?
She is the ONLY one who can win. She is the only one who has the balls to tell it like it is . She is the only one who will put obama on the floor during a debate because she is the only one who will have the courage to tell him to his face.

Yes, if she runs she will win.

If Saint Sarah had advocated a nuclear strike, the Palindrones here would be all for it.

However, I doubt that she had any influence on Obama’s decision.

She quit rather than bankrupt herself personally. There is no exemption in Alaska law or protection from frivolous lawsuits. Was she supposed to destroy her family financially just to stay in office? Or was she supposed to drain Alaska's coffers mounting defense after defense of unfounded charges?

Now that truly would have been a lack of principles.

I would support an autistic, mentally retarded, Torette's Syndrome-laden INFANT over ZERO at this point...

The infant would be INFINITELY more competent than our current Pre_ent...

If Obama wins 2012, there won’t be an election in 2016.

What I post here will live on for years and I really think (and hope) that when this is reviewed in November 2012, these comments will still have merit. So here goes...

I am absolutely convinced that O'Bambi is a one-termer and that the demonRATS will suffer enormous defeats in both houses.

The Libyan fiasco has alienated his base. Leftists such as Michael Moore and Dennis Kucinich now see Zero as the second coming of George W. Bush. The usurper has lost his most passionate supporters.

The mushy middle is increasingly disenchanted with the hopelessness of his "change". In particular, the economy remains stuck in a quagmire and shows little (if any) chance of an uptick as the election approaches.

The right-thinking Americans detested this boy in a man's office from the outset. The fallacy of Obamacare and his ongoing advocacy of the Marxist and homosexual agendas only strengthen his opponents.

And I think that the "white guilt" factor which propelled the rookie's popularity will be far less of a factor come 2012.

Much like the aftermath of the Jimmy Carter years, I sincerely think that 2012 represents one of those once-in-a-generation opportunities for a Conservative revival. The utter and complete wreckage of the _resident will allow Republicans to throw out the RINOs and move sharply to the right, thus restoring a pro-God, pro-gun, pro-life, pro-military, liberty-loving Constitutional Conservative.

Yeah well, you lost any support you would have gotten by mentioning her quitting. So before someone really cuts you a new one, please go out and get informed as to the reasons why she stepped down. Until then, stick to what you know.

OK now. A good natured (but entirely sincere) challenge for you:

Time for you to state clearly who you prefer.

Who are you trolling on behalf of, please?
