Live thread: Wisconsin Supreme Court election - Prosser vs Kloppenburg

This election is important nationally too. If Kloppenburg is elected the Wisconsin mandate by the electorate in 2010 in this state will be negated by the WI Supreme Court and the unions will have won.

I live in a hardcore conservative area and discovered today that my Prosser yardsign was mutilated and thrown into one of my plantings.

Pray for Wisconsin and for Prosser's election!

Oh yeah it is bad. We in CT know all too well what that play is all about. During the Governor’s race, Bridgeport supposedly had that same problem. It was corrupt and watch out it looks like it is a replay.

Yes, as a Nashville native, I am so proud to live in a VERY red state. We are rolling....but this is about WI, let’s hope they hold strong!

Milwaukee and Dane both reported a lot of precincts back to back...that’s why the gap closed....it’s gonna be close!!!

OMG, his lead is down to 1,110 votes. This is scary.

It's okay in some ways. Over 60% of Milwaukee County is in. 50% of Dane County is in (though it looks like the outstanding precincts are in the city so will trend Dem). Only 1/4th of Waukesha, the biggest GOP county, is in. If it's even now then people should be hopeful.

also, remember that the new natl RNC chair is from WI so he should be on top of this and the party should be in good shape here.

Dear Lord, do not let cheating win the WI election. Let the truth of the voter’s choice to prevail.

I do the same thing for the Maine results. I’ve done it for a couple of elections, and know to make ceratin “kentucky windage” for a bit of a bias in the system.

Last November I called the Maine governor’s race within 300 votes of the final result at 10:30 pm, and the press didn’t annouce a winner until the next morning.

just a swag based on my knowledges of the state, but it appears the more touristy-resort type areas that would be expected to have more transplants are going heavily Kloppenburg, while Prosser is taking those counties where real people live and work.

Very close now. Prosser 52% vs Kloppenburg 48% (public sector union candidate), 11pm EST

This is a huge battle for liberals/progressives hoping to overturn 2010 election results. Still ground zero for us to hold off the barbarians.

2011 AP Supreme Court Results

2010 Wisconsin Governor result by county

It appears that Prosser is under performing Walker and in some counties the results are the reverse of Walker winning.

I have no ideas on how turnout is effecting things. Dane is reporting very few counties relatively speaking and the lefty is winning there by 2-1 margins.
