Washington (CNN) – Self-proclaimed birther Donald Trump is now so doubtful of President Obama's birthplace that he's sent a team of his own investigators to Hawaii in hopes of getting to the bottom of the issue.
That's according to Trump himself, who, in an interview with NBC, warned his investigators just might uncover "one of the greatest cons in the history of politics and beyond."
"I have people that have been studying it and they cannot believe what they're finding," Trump said an interview that aired Thursday Morning.
Asked if he has assigned people specifically to search in Hawaii, Trump said, "Absolutely."
The business mogul, who in a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal Poll is tied for second place among potential presidential candidates, also suggested the president is involved in an ongoing cover-up over the matter.
"He spent $2 million in legal fees trying on to get away from this issue, and if it weren't an issue, why wouldn't he just solve it?" he said. "I wish he would because if he doesn't, it's one of the greatest scams in the history of politics and in the history, period. You are not allowed to be a president if you're not born in this country. Right now, I have real doubts."

When and how did you first learn that widespread reports of Barry’s granny claiming to be present at his birth (in Kenya) were false? Who told you it was a lie?
Or did you just ‘know in your bones’ the granny never said this? Did you need no source to debunk the ‘myth’ because you have innate knowledge/telepathy/sixth sense awareness of what is true and what is false?
I’m not asking anything unreasonable. If the widely spread (to make an understatement) reports of Barry’s granny’s claims are false, ***somebody*** other than curiosity ought to be reporting and/or refuting it.
[Case in point. I personally have seen hundreds of refutations of the claim that Americans were not allowed to travel to Pockistan during the time Barry visited the country. Why no similar deluge of refutations of granny’s quotes???]

At this point what matters most is that there be standing for a legal challenge, which would allow discovery of not only the records but of the embedded transaction logs and complete vital records history which would reveal if the records have been manipulated.
If a person could get discovery of that - particularly if there was somebody like Trump who would be willing to make it known very publicly - and if the proof was also sent directly to Congress-critters, SOS’s, etc, then those people could be in danger of misprision of felony and/or treason charges if they fail to protect the US Constitution.
IMHO, the big thing we need to do is to pass legislation or ballot initiatives specifically giving legal standing to any registered voter to challenge in state court the eligibility of any candidate placed on the state ballot. Because that would allow legal discovery that would impact the entire nation, it wouldn’t matter how large or small the state was.
That is what we can be doing. There’s actually a danger in the Trump exposure of this issue, which somebody else alluded to. And that is that Obama could produce a fake and Trump would not have the legal permission to get the records that prove it is a fake.
If he’s going after the financial records or other ways of proving that Obama was not born in a Hawaii hospital, there could always be the claim that the records were lost, etc. It is important that we be able to get at the actual proof of whether or not the birth and citizenship records have been manipulated. And that requires legal standing.
So far even opposing presidential candidates have been denied legal standing, so we can’t count on judges giving a right ruling. It has to be a law that specifically gives legal standing.
Those of us who love what Trump is doing should pitch in what we can to allow him (or somebody else) to actually finish the job. He’s like the QB who has put the ball in the air, but we need to make sure that there’s somebody in the end zone to catch it, or else it won’t matter that he was willing and able to get the ball in the air. He can raise the public awareness and do investigation to a certain point, but the defense Obama can use to derail it all is a fake that Trump doesn’t have access to prove as a fake. He can bat the ball away just by doing that.
But we can take measures to make sure that fake documentation would be discovered within a legal setting. We can do that by pushing our legislatures (if they allow new bills to be introduced at any time) or by pushing a ballot initiative the would give legal standing to any registered voter to challenge in court the legal eligibility of candidates on the ballot.
The Senate sent these two commie/socialist ‘judges’ to the subPreme Court, even though Barry put them up for approval. These scum stink up the court because the Democrap Seante put them there, therefore they are not subject to recall if Barry the Bastard is exposed as the criminal, degenerate vermin he is.
Not sure if this has been mentioned on this thread, as I have not had time to read all the posts, but I think one of the biggie problems of releasing even a good “Long Form” forgery would be the fact that in order do legitimize the COLB, the race of father would have to say “African”. Everyone at that time would know that both documents were a fraud, as that term was never used to describe race on a BC (at least not in the 60’s). Must be many heads spinning about now. :-)
Any state Barrack has a legitimate shot at winning in 012 would pass this type of legislation. So I don’t see it as effective at all.
It would be effective in that it would then be reported that Obama would not appear on the ballots of X states due to inability to produce satisfactory documentation of birth. Talk about heightening the controversy
Had one of the other “contenders”, say Pawlenty, taken this position first, they could even be leading Romney, who I still think would get the nomination, considering the hesitancy of Republican primary voters in the early states.
"The world" has known Obama was a fraud all along. Trump didn't just stumble upon this, and the MSM isn't airing it just now because Trump is the one saying it. Its been Hillary's "trump" card all along. She's just been waiting for the right time to play it. And Trump is playing her trump card as only a casino owner could, with consummate timing. All this makes me wonder if the Dems are trying their best to have the gov’t shut down so they can all get together and figure out how they are gonna worm their way out of the consequences when this all blows up and everything that’s been kept hidden about O is finally out in the open.
Okay; I’m convinced. It’s so obvious, now that I’ve thought about it. Of course Barry’s granny would have denied the quotes. As soon as it began to be widely reported that she said he was born in Kenya, if she hadn’t said it, she’d have disavowed the quotes.

What they would probably say is that the parents’ race on the long-form was self-reported, taken down verbatim from the parents, and that when the information from the long-form was entered into the database (when the system converted to electronic) it was typed in verbatim rather than transcribed as a code that the software would translate into the “Black” notation on the COLB.
Could be important to document that the software requires a code to be entered - if that can be documented.

I'm not convinced that's true. The Senate can't put anyone on the Supreme Court without a presidential nomination. If the communist loser in our White House is just a former US Senator, there was no presidential nomination, and the Senate's action is invalid.
Oh, how I hope you're right. Listening to our local talk radio this morning (KFYI) the host, Barry Young (who used to ridicule *birthers*) had a little change in his attitude. He played a bit of Trump's interview and agreed that there is a difference between a BC and a CERTIFICATION Of Live Birth. Trump has the platform and he's using it well.
