Nearly Half Of Mississippi Republicans Think Interracial Marriage Should Be Illegal
Talking Points Memo ^ | April 7, 2011, 4:18PM | Jon Terbush

Americans nationwide are evenly divided over the issue of same sex marriage. But Republicans in Mississippi are divided over a wholly different wedlock issue: interracial marriage.

In a PPP poll [pdf] released Thursday, a 46% plurality of registered Republican voters said they thought interracial marriage was not just wrong, but that it should be illegal. 40% said interracial marriage should be legal.

Gov. Haley Barbour, with a home state advantage in Mississippi, also topped PPP's survey of the GOP primary field at 37%, followed by Mike Huckabee at 19%, and Sarah Palin and Newt Gingrich at 10%.

Before anyone get’s too excited.

Public Policy Polling is a Democrat Party polling organization.

It’s CEO Daniel Debnam is a big time Democrat party operative.

Just another example of Leftist Agit-Prop!

Natural born citizens are the original descendants after the ratification of the Constitution.

The 14th Amendment is illegal.

I am from Mississippi.

This sounds like a “punked” poll.

I would surmise that, if anything, voluntary inter-racial love affairs are marked by more, not less, consideration on how the marriage will do in the long term. It’s just not done on a casual fling, and would be less likely to produce virtual orphans.

What’s scarier is that the people who have commented have fallen for the blatant race baiting and republican bashing, hook, line and sinker.

There are over a million registered republicans in Mississippi. PublicPolicyPolling ( an American Democratic Party-affiliated polling firm—source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_Policy_Polling ) only polled 400 of them and 46% alledgedly are for banning interracial marriage. So, out of over a million reg repubs in MS, the liberals managed to find 186 that are for banning interracial marriage. Hey, I bet I can find more registered liberals than that in the closest prison I can find.

We do have a major problem in America with unwed mothers... many have mixed race kids... and they will almost all be raised on welfare and handouts. I will tell you about a young woman with no husband... three kids (brats all)... 19 years old... I was sitting in a Vet's office and overheard her cell conversation. She had to leave the two Pitt Bull puppies and go look at a larger apartment that section 8 housing has found for her... she had to check with her lawyer about her “welfare” monies and then she was going to Best Buy to pick up her new flat panel TV. She was driving an Escalade.

white racial pool

There is no "white" race. There are Caucasians who are Semites (brown), Dravidians (brown to nearly black) and Aryans/Indo-Europeans (white to brown to dark brown).

Wiki has an interesting view of PPP:

Public Policy Polling (PPP) is an American Democratic Party-affiliated polling firm based in Raleigh, North Carolina.[1][2][3] PPP was founded in 2001 by businessman and Democratic pollster Dean Debnam, the firm's current president and chief executive officer

'Nuff said? Ever wonder why they didn't do an equivalent poll to the Democrats? The Democrats remember the near-shellacking they got in 2010, and since all indications are that the shellacking will be real in 2012, they are doing their best to head Republican votes off at the pass; and to detour the 'moderate' vote by hook or by crook.
