Wisconsin (Supreme) court race won't be certified without vote probe

The agency overseeing Wisconsin elections will not certify results of Tuesday's state Supreme Court race until it concludes a probe into how a county clerk misplaced and then found some 14,000 votes that upended the contest.

Unofficial returns in the statewide race had given the challenger, JoAnne Kloppenburg, a narrow 204 vote statewide lead over David Prosser, a former Republican legislator.

Friday, Kloppenburg said her campaign had filed an open records requests "for all relevant documentation related to the reporting of election results in Waukesha County, as well as to the discovery and reporting of the errors announced by the County."

Waukesha County submits unofficial numbers and then a second look shows that the total vote count in the city of Brookfield is 0 (zero). Sure, that makes sense. Election person notices that the votes (14K+) were tabulated but not included in the county totals. Says, "oops", and adds the Brookfield numbers to the total. Rats say, "how dare you screw with our plans to screw you?" Read 'em and weep, rats, YOU LOSE!!!!!!!

They are freaking over at Kos with supposed experts saying that Access always saves, you don’t actually hit “save” so she’s lying. They miss that she was importing Excel spreadsheets into Access. It’s easy to screw that up and not have the data added to the database.

Of course the big question is why in this day and age is a manual process using Access and Excel being used to count votes?

That is a lie, there weren’t any misplaced votes, there weren’t any found votes.

The votes weren’t reported, period.

I am glad Repubs have a learning curve. Dems have held the last ballot box and then turned in the number of votes they needed. It worked for Johnson in the 1960’s and elsewhere since then (Washington state, Wisconsin, etc.). Repubs finally figured it out and kept a big collection of ballots themselves. Turnabout if fair play.

That sounds like what the dimocRat are saying.

I tend to take this at face value. Ballots were originally not counted, the discrepancy was found, and the count was corrected.

I can save them the time and trouble then. Regardless of how it turns out, voters who supported the winning candidate will have confidence in the results and voters who supported the losing candidate will be convinced there was fraud.

Good grief, this country is a nation of piteous whiners; at least Nixon had some class when the Daley machine stole Illinois.
If you can’t steal as many votes, rig as many machines, bring as many dead back to life and ‘find’ as many ballot boxes as the other side, you’re as useless as a short NBA player or a 120LB defensive lineman in the NFL.
