Another Body Blow… Trump Goes After Obama’s Close Ties to Crook Rezko
Gateway Pundit ^ | 4/12/11

The RNC released this web video titled “Lapse in Judgement” back in 2008.

http://youtu.be/Aj4_rtyfFu8

The ad revealed Barack Obama’s dealings with convicted felon and close friend Tony Rezko.

This great ad described Obama’s relationship with the Chicago crook. Unfortunately, the left-wing media didn’t do its job and protected Obama from any honest attacks during the 2008 campaign.

Today Donald Trump went after Obama’s close ties to convicted criminal Tony Rezko. IB Times reported:

President Obama “never did a deal in his life except with Tony Rezko,” said Donald Trump on Fox News.

“People should look into that one,” he added.

Trump once again went on the offensive against Obama. His previous point of attack was doubts over Obama’s birthplace. Now, it’s the latter’s long history with Tony Rezko, who Hillary Clinton in 2008 called a “slum landlord.”

Rezko is am Illinoisan political fundraiser who was convicted for fraud and bribery in 2008. He was accused of using his political position to extort money from businesses seeking contracts from the Illinois Teachers System Board and the Illinois Health Facilities Planning Board.

Back in the 1990s (before Rezko’s offenses took place), two companies owned by Rezko gave the first ever contributions to Obama’s Illinois Senate campaign. In the 2000s, he served on Obama’s U.S. Senate campaign finance committee.

In 2005, Rezko’s wife bought a lot adjacent to a house Obama purchased for $625,000 and subsequently sold a part of it to Obama. The deal generated much controversy back in Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign.

Looks like Trump has ulterior motives, and may be in the bag for Obama.

Rush just played a clip of Trump saying if he didn’t win the Republican nomination he would run as an independent, even though he knows that would put Obama back in the White House.

He just hates to lose...

I agree that he hates to lose, but I don’t think his pronouncement means that he is in the bag for Obama. It could just as easily be interpreted to mean that he has a fire a in the belly and believes in his prescription for an American recovery. He may be right and he may be wrong, but it is very hard to imagine that he is part of a broader conspiracy for Obama. If he has ulterior motives, I would expect that he himself is at the center of them.

Trump's intentions will be made clear if he actually tries to form a third-party run. If he does, he will reveal himself to have been set up to re-elect Obama by siphoning off Republican votes.

If he sticks with the party, I think he's for real.

And God help any conservative who falls again for a third party Trojan Horse.

If Obama got elected, despite all the info about his connections with Rezko, how is it going to effect his reelection? People didn’t care. They should, but they don’t. They do care about other things 0bama has done. Why not focus on those?

The public at large never knew about these allegations. Recall that we had a candidate who refused to say anything negative about 0bama. The stooge we ran put Rezko, Wright, Farrakan. Ayers and the Birth Certificate question ALL off limits. People figured, hell, if McCain won't even discuss this stuff it must all be BS.

We also had a super abundance of stupid, guilt ridden white morons who couldn't wait to vote for a black guy just so they could tell everyone they voted for a black guy. Thank goodness that has largely worn off by now!

I have belonged to a third party for a while now. This last election I voted for the real conservative with the best chance to win or to make a statement.

In our system the guy with 34% beats two other guys with 33%. Teddy Roosevelt proved a 3rd party has a great shot at winning.

Only two of my votes went to the constitution party this time around.

That said, I don’t think Trump will run 3rd party unless the Pubs nominate another McCain/Dole.

I stopped getting things from the RNC asking for funding when I wrote across the forms “when you support my ideals .. I’ll support your campaigns”

As my husband always says, vote your conscience.

That said, he also thinks third parties hand the election to the democrats.

He's a mass of contradictions. 8~)

I nominate Trump for the 2011 Pulitzer for Investigative Journalism.

Hey, I'm for Trump using his podium to rip Zero 24-7. Go for it Donald, don't let up.

But as a Presidential candidate? Nope, never, nada, no way, nix, not a chance.

I agree — the man’s an egomaniac.

If he were actually in the bag for a Democrat, I would guess Hillary over Obama.

My question, the same as Rush’s, is if you know running as an independent would put Obama back in office, why do it?

One thing’s for certain, he’s an interesting character. I actually do find him entertaining.

He has my vote if he runs.

I heard Big Sis and Pawlenty did a commercial for "Global Warming". So no to him.

The other RINOS suck.

I was really hoping Bachmann would run but she is trying to be like a spoiled child starving for attention. The more I hear her, the more I dislike her. There is no substance to what she says and she like Obama has no executive experience she was a state rep then a congresswoman with very little experience. Trump on the other hand IS an executive and runs an empire.

Palin would guarantee 4 more years of Barry due to all the bashing she took from the press. Independents hate her and a lot of Republicans are beginning to dislike her. I know she has her worshippers here but unfortunately koolaid drinkers don't see reality.

The other conservatives are unknown like Barbour of Mississippi. He'd make a great President but wouldn't even get 8th place in Iowa or New Hampshire.

Which is why I believe we should have a National Primary Election. Where all 50 states vote on the same day so these other states aren't the focus of who is going to lead the free world.

No offense to FReepers in Iowa or NH, but I don't know why your states have the right to decide who the nominee is.

He seems very p***ed off to me...and I know he and Rush golf together, but this seemed to come out of the blue.

Maybe it was the Ground Zero mosque-he offered to buy that property for a MUCH larger amount than they were paying for it and he was told to go whistle-he wasn’t getting it no matter how much he offered...and business/money wise, that makes NO sense, so maybe he started looking into it and couldn’t believe what he found..ie a closet full of Muzzies w/Obama ties, Obama’s lack of documented pedigree or birth etc, Soros’ connection, the Saudis etc...they are all connected and all you have to do is connect the dots...

Say what you will about the Donald, he does love this country and he loves capitalism. And I think he finally ‘gets it’, that we may lose both.

very interesting to watch this play out...

I remember Trump talking about how intelligent Obama was. I remember lots of people talking about how intelligent he was and what a great orator he was and that he was more or less a genius. Lots of those people need to say they were wrong.

Why do you think that Palin was restrained by GOP/McCain and Trump is speaking openly about Iraq oil, birth certificate, Koran, Rezko, china, Obamacare, deficit?
HOw she was ridiculed by media and liberal elitist Hollywood types?

“He is making complete fools of the whole GOP.”

Their mothers beat him to it. It doesn’t take Donald Trump to beat The None. Anyone in a three-piece suit can do it at this point. John McCain could even do it now. What is needed is someone who can be President, and I’m sorry, but he’s not the man for the job.

I don’t see him having to go to a third party. I see Romney and Karl Rove going third party with the rest of the rinos.
