Bachmann Says Obama's Certificate 'Settles' Birther Issue....(What about the rest of missing info?)

For the first time, Rep. Michele Bachmann – who is actively considering a run for the White House in 2012  -- has said that the birth certificate President Obama has released to the public puts an end to the "birther" issue. It came when I showed her the copy of the Certificate of Live Birth published on FactCheck.org.

It happened this morning on “GMA.”  Here’s the key exchange:

Stephanopoulos: Last night you were on Fox News suggesting the president should come forward with his birth certificate as well --

Bachmann: Well, what I have said about that is, I was asked a question about that and Republicans are constantly asked to vouch for the authenticity of the birth certificate. The only one who can is the clerk of court in the county where someone is born and that’s where people should go. Don’t ask Republicans, go ask the clerk of court.

No, it does not. To be a "Natural Born Citizen" one must be born in the United States to two parents who are both American citizens.

Even if Butt-boy was born in Hawaii (which his paternal Grandmother said he was not), he still is not eligible to be President according to the Constitution.

Either way, he is a Quisling usurper who hates white people and hates America. He should be tarred and feathered and run out of the country buck-nekkid.

We know Obama’s COLB was amended because it has a “Date filed” on it. If the COLB was an abstract of an original vital record due to a hospital birth, then it would have a “Date accepted.”

Michele Bachmann is a great lady and a great conservative and a force for good in the House of Representatives.

However, IMO, she is NOT presidential material and she should put her efforts 100% behind Sarah Palin and then get off the stage. She is doing more harm than good with her pipe dreams of being in the WH as it's not going to happen.

Stephanopoulos is in business to support and protect his guy. But, this line that he used that the COLB IS A Birth Certificate, a statement that keeps being repeated over and over by the Obama Media, is laughable.

Think of all the different versions of the truth we have from the Liberals and their MSM on this subject;

1.) CNN’s Jon Klein said CNN’s researchers determined the Birth Certificate had been destroyed.

2.) Former Hawaii Health Director Chiyome Fukino says the Birth Certificate exists.

3.) One of the four different versions of The COLB is the Birth Certificate.

4.) Chris Matthews acknowledges there is a difference between a Birth Certificate and a COLB.

5.) Gov. Abercrombie, who said he was there when Obama was born, would release the Birth Certificate, only to change his story later that he wasn't there for the birth and he couldn't find the Birth Certificate, but something about Obama’s birth was written down.

6.) No one can get their Birth Certificate from the State of Hawaii.

7.) People have gotten their Birth Certificates from the State of Hawaii.

8.) Hospitals placed the newspaper announcements in 1961.

9.) The family placed the newspaper announcements in 1961.

10.) The Dept. of Health placed the newspaper announcements in 1961.

11.) Obama was born in Two Different Hospitals, quite a feat for an infant, even today!

12.) Bill O’Reilly’s staff investigated, and reported that Obama was born in Hawaii, although no details of “the investigation” were released.

In other words that a certified copy of the “ORIGINAL” “BIRTH CERTIFICATE” is legally the same as the original. DUH. They aren't going to allow you to have “the original birth certificate”. They give you a copy, and this law is saying that a copy is just as good. A COLB is NOT a “COPY” of the original.

Now Hawaii has just changed laws & procedures about birth certificates to be able to TRY to get around having to provide a copy of “the original”. It won't work.

The COLB is recognized as sufficient legal proof. We know it’s based on BS, but unless either the original long form BC is dislodged or other proof is found, we’re stuck with a piece of paper vouching for it’s own legal sufficiency. It’s certified, it’s notarized, it’s embossed. It’s crap, but it’s a notarized, certified, embossed rose under the law of HI.

You are correct as far as a lot of people are concerned, but the issue they keep overlooking is that No state law (privacy) can trump an Article of the U.S. Constitution.

It is the tail waging the dog.

State election officials have a duty to place names on the ballot of only those people demonstrated to be qualified for the position they seek to hold. They can demand to see ACTUAL proof, and not just take someone's word for it, even if they are a state official. Besides, Hawaiian law already says an amended birth certificate isn't necessarily proof.

§338-17 Late or altered certificate as evidence. The probative value of a “late” or “altered” certificate shall be determined by the judicial or administrative body or official before whom the certificate is offered as evidence. [L 1949, c 327, §21; RL 1955, §57-20; HRS §338-17; am L 1997, c 305, §4]

I agree with you two. I have serious doubts about his eligibility but for crying out loud, to listen to the most vocal freepers, you get branded a RINO for suggesting that there are more important problems to discuss and that the birther issue is being kept alive by Obama to keep the right divided.

At this rate, there won’t be anyone left to run but Trump if we make the birth certificate a litmus test. Some of the comments are incredible—my personal favorite being the suggestion that Satan himself got to Bachmann. Good grief.
