WASHINGTON (AP) -- Sen. John McCain, one of the strongest proponents in Congress of the U.S. military intervention in Libya, is heading to the rebel stronghold of Benghazi for a meeting with forces fighting to overthrow Moammar Gadhafi, an aide told The Associated Press.
McCain was scheduled to arrive in Benghazi on Friday, said Brooke Buchanan, a spokeswoman for the senator.

I’m not even going to say it, but I AM thinking it.
He was in danger. Someone put a red scarf around his neck. That could have been an explosive or bioweapon. McCain missed the spotlight and could have lost his life trying to get back in it.

McCain has proposed a Senate resolution backing the Libya move. (Tonkin Gulf resolution anyone?)
That will be “credible” because it comes from a republican,
and Obama’s opponent in 2008; and hence, ‘non-partisan’.
It’s all political theater, and we may end up with boots on
the ground to support those great freedom-fighting rebels of Benghazi...

Save the tin foil -—you might need it later. But this time you’re exactly correct. The MSM talked up McLame as the best candidate for years knowing all the time he’d never beat the next Dem. Remember how even the Dems loved him? And remember how totally nice he was campaigning against (or for ) Obamuzzie? I always said the commies successfully washed his brains and I will not be needing my own tinfoil for this trip to Daffyland. ( I remember McCain from way back-—As I recall he owes us for at least four really nice airplanes. He and his buds tried to get two of our carriers. I was there helping bolt the Enterprise back together when genius boy forgot where his weapons were and lit up Big E’s flight deck. )
Is he bringing Carter and Kerry with him? Rebels might as well surrender now. quoting the famous words from Animal House, “you [blanked] up; you trusted us.”
This goes to show that there is little difference between a democrat and a rino.
While McLame does say and do right things from time to time, one must remember that even a broken clock is correct twice a day.
I can’t believe I voted for this loser. No way in hell that I will get behind a similar “establishment-media” candidate like Huck or Romney in 2012.

I don’t fault Alan Keyes for what happened. What he didn’t realize (for whatever reason) was that he was being used, and he should’ve told the IL GOP to take a long walk off a short pier. He was put on the ticket without surmising that they had no intention of lifting a finger to help him, it was all window-dressing. In fact, I’d say most of the card-carrying Combiners from the RINO rump voted for Emperor Zero in the general election of 2004 (including Judy Topinka). If anything, it was sad to see a good man like Keyes not know he was the only one not in on the joke.
As for Jack Ryan, although he may have had some kinky fantasies, what he was accused of in the divorce records (which should NEVER have been unsealed, if only because accusations raised in the heat of divorce always involve outlandish allegations), they did not involve his watching other men have sex with Jeri. Their marriage fell apart because she wanted an acting career out on the west coast while his career was in Chicago, and one could predictably see where such an impasse was headed. Needless to say, there was nothing Ryan did that should’ve disqualified him from the Senate nomination he won. If a sour marriage was an excuse, a huge number of elected officials would be out on their butts.
How, do you suppose, Ryan's divorce records got unsealed and released?
Might it have had something to do with a certain community organizer...???
