Thanks for the link. I have seen her “victory” speech before, but haven’t seen anywhere where she actually said that Prosser should not ask for a recount, despite some Freeper claims.
If the Republicans there are smart (cough cough) they’ll use this assinine behaviour as an opportunity to point up the continuous raping of the taxpayer by the left.
Not in a hateful way—that would turn people on the edge off. Instead, a “isn’t this a shame” approach would probably work best.
Show the protestors: that fat dude sleeping on the floor, the November 2010 election night statements, the monies spent just keeping peace, the FLEE-BAGGING Senators running away from their jobs, and now this Kloppendouche abusing the system.
Don’t back down, Republicans...this is a GREAT chance for you to emphasize the differences between the parties—not just philosophy, but in methodology, too.
Nope, Republicans capitulate in every instance.
Just ask Boehner.
Not her sister, likely a relative but not her sister ... different parents.
I did some searching. While JoAnne (Fishman) Kloppenburgs father is Elihu Fishman, Joelles is named George. Joelle stated that she came from a political family.
There is an earlier Elihu. These Fishmans would be (Ukrainian) Jewish, not Scottish. My guess with Kloppenburg is that her time in Yale and Princeton led to networking with lefties in Madison.
This must be a family of some notoriety, as Morris Sweetkind, a teacher at my old CT prep school, actually wrote of the town Ukrainian Abraham Fishman emigrated from.
BTW, my own roots go to Connecticut, but I am presently near the Wisconsin border in Illinois, so I find this interesting all the way around.
What’s with the dingbat expression and the pseudo-lesbian hairstyle? She looks like the brush I used yesterday to clean my toilet.
She really is a despicable character....
Good grief she’s homely!
It’s definitely out there somewhere. If I remember correctly, she didn’t actually tell Prosser not to call for a recount, but suggested he should concende the race and “avoid dragging the process out” or something to that effect.
In a press release on the day after the election claiming her "victory" she makes it clear that Prosser is old news and should just go away.
We owe Justice Prosser our gratitude for his more than 30 years of public service. Wisconsin voters have spoken and I am grateful for, and humbled by, their confidence and trust. I will be independent and impartial and I will decide cases based on the facts and the law. As I have traveled the state, people tell me they believe partisan politics do not belong in our courts. I look forward to bringing new blood to the Supreme Court and focusing my energy on the important work Wisconsin residents elect Supreme Court justices to do.
Thanks!
Thanks!
I can’t help but wonder if the intent is to try and punish the opposition. The left and the unions are saying, “OK, you can go up against us if you want, but it’s going to cost you more than just giving us what we want.” It’s a common bully tactic.
I don't believe there can be any doubt about that. The unions are scared, they see themselves as being driven into a corner. They'll fight back with any and all tactics at their disposal, just like cornered rats.
Jack Kelly has a very good piece on the subject in yesterday's Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
