Man, I’ve been talking about West for a long time and taken some abuse from other FReepers for it.

It’s about time folks start to turn this one around.

He has years of *real* public service, not fake politician “service” to himself. He knows how to be an executive. I’ve sent emails to Rep. West asking him to run, joined the FB group . . .

That guy has the ability to run, win and lead.

I have sent him a lot and he has responded several times.

I know how to frame them to get them noticed.

You bet I believe it. And you don’t know who you are talking to, do you?

And you had better watch the ethnic slurs. It’s against the rules and is a reportable abuse as far as I’m concerned.

Baloney! We’re suffering from a guy who went from state senator to president with nothing much but campaigning in between! He’s never run so much as a snow cone stand and look where we are right now! I’m sure Rep. West is a great guy, but a battalion commander and a governor of a state are NOT the same thing by any stretch of the imagination! I was in charge of early warning/intelligence of the main part of the Korean DMZ during one of my tours there and keeping an eye on a North Korean corps during the other, yet I don’t consider myself an expert on foreign affairs or government. I would never offer up myself for high office without “paying my dues” first, and neither should Rep. West or the others mentioned. Would you hire a guy to run a company who only has experience as a department manager in a Wal-Mart?

So that means he’s qualified, is that what you’re saying?

IMHO, the potential candidacy of Jindal and Rubio as non-NBCs presents theatre of Shakespearean quality. And although I believe that Rush gets the NBC issue more than some fellow Freepers admit, even Rush may not appreciate the potential of any combination of the 3 (Rubio/West/Jindal) on a 2 man ticket: Here we would have front row center seats for staging the hypocracy and lying MSM defending the left against not one, but potentially two men 'of color', one Hispanic, one genuine African American war hero, all three conservatives, all unapologetically pro-American yet the NBC dagger has to remain sheathed or it would destroy the 0 as well.

So the message to the inner sanctum of the Soros team in the White House has to have been delivered by today, "the NBC issue has legs and no amount of berating the 'birthers' is going to make it go away. Limbaugh said they should nominate Rubio or Jindal, both with the NBC issue and we can't say jack."

Payback is sweeter than wine.

This was written at that time to address citizenship issues of Native Americans and former slaves, I believe, not for the child of, for example, a British subject. The key is ‘not owing allegiance to a foreign sovereignty.’ So children born here of alien parents not yet naturalized are not NBCs.

I thought Jindal’s parents were both here on a student visa when he was born?

Good points in #83. BTW, my wife(half Korean), daughter, and I visited Korea several years ago. Before the trip, I made sure to book a tour of the Joint Security Area. It was definitely the highlight of the trip for me.

I stopped listening to Rush when he extolled how valuable illegal aliens were for our economy. GAG!

I hate to say this in public but you are a liar.....Rush has never once supported illegal immigration and in fact is on record as excoriating both Bush and McCain for their very support of amnesty for illegals.......

Do your homework before you post such nonsense.........

Go back to your nap.

I’m not the only person on this thread who recalls Rush Limbaugh extolling the value of illegal aliens.

And don’t call people names on Free Republic. It will get your booty kicked off the site.

Bobby Jindal’s parents were here four months, on student visas, when Bobby was born. If they naturalized, it was after his birth.

Gov.Jindal has said he will sign the LA state bill requiring candidates for President and V. President.

Allen West has natural talent that I haven't seen in very many people. He is exceptionally well-read and a student of history and governments. He has the qualifications that would make a great President. I don't doubt that you were a battalion commander, but West has more to offer.

I had been thinking he would make a great Vice President, but I look at the current field and would much rather have Allen West than Gov. Romney and some of the other RINOs being pushed out in front by the Republican elite.

We are going to get a RINO if we don't put our best people forward. One thing that he will have to do is pick the best people in the areas where he is not as strong. But anyone Allen West picks would be a lot better than the socialists that Obama puts in charge.

If he runs, he would automatically be considered for VP.

Now where have I heard that before? I know, some elitist jackass hollywood jerk said the very same thing when they were pulled over for drunk driving...........

Please, don't tell me you're Charlie Sheen.......I’m tired of pretending I’m not a total bitchin’ rock star from Mars."

You da man Charlie!

WINNING!

Baloney! Before Obama was a freshmen Senator, he was a community organizer. Before West was a freshman Congressman, he was a 22-year military vet. There's no comparison there.

a battalion commander and a governor of a state are NOT the same thing

Well, since there aren't any decent Republican governors running for President, I guess a battalion commander will have to do.

I would never offer up myself for high office without “paying my dues” first,

Mitt Romney has paid his dues. Let's vote for him! Bob Dole and John McCain paid there dues - how did that work out? Of course, a two-term conservative governor would be the most ideal - but that person doesn't exist. The 2012 election is make or break for the US, if we don't win than that's all she wrote. Simply fact is this: three debates between Obama and West would show the American people which one has the experience and wisdom to lead this country.

See Kenny Bunk’s post at #62.

Misery loves company I guess.........so does ignorance.

Tell you what, why don't you cite me Rush's words where he continuously supported illegal immigration.....and don't quote from DU ok?

Does this bill even address the two citizen parent issue?

I don’t know. I recall that the LA bill was discussed on Free Republic. You might be able to find it by searching for LA or Louisiana as a key word.
