Because, for the upteenth time, and I am so sick of posting this....
The law is not settled. If you listen to the Supreme Court oral arguments actually discussing the Natural Born requirement for Presidency you will see that it is not settled law.
Furthermore, if Obama was really married to Kezia (which there is room for argument that he wasn’t) then he could not have transferred citizenship to Obama so there goes the theory that Obama was a British Citizen.
So yes, Trump should absolutely hire forensic people on this.

I managed to download a PDF file (from the White House Web Site) and was looking at what you are looking at.
PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT THIS.
1) In Adobe right click over the document and left click “Marquee Zoom”
2) Now scroll up and down the document (with wheel on your mouse). Look at what you were looking at.
You can clearly see it it in the name Barack (how the R sticks out), and then scroll down the document and you can clearly see the white out with the type over.

The Supreme Court has never ruled on a case concerning NBC because all presidents before Obama met the constitutional requirement of NBC.
In cases concerning citizenship, the court has commented upon the term NBC as a reference for other citizenship circumstances. The Court has always defined NBC as born in country to two citizen parents.
Updating? The only way to update the Constitutation is through an Amendment. No Amendment has ever changed the NBC requirement of the constitution for Presidential eligibility.
Did it break apart the text elements from the background? Did it leave white blanked out areas that don’t match the sharpness of the black text that was lifted up? PDF scans might break up the scan (for compression purposes) but I don’t see how it would be smart enough to lift text and clean it up!
What am I seeing there?
Couldn’t this just mean that they scanned the document and created the file on that date - meaning it still could be legitimate (but IMO it isn’t legitimate.)
I think we have seen this issue before on something it was just a matter of the person scanning and creating the file.

NO, they haven’t. That is one way. THAT MAY NOT THE ONLY WAY.
For example, Ginsburg thinks that you can be born on foreign soil and be eligible.

Obama is a citizen, because of his birth in the US to a citizen parent.......He is not a constitutional Natural Born Citizen because one parent, his father, was a foreign citizen.
Just like a dog if both parents are pedigrees of the same breed you are a pedigreed dog too. Obama, because of his un-pedigreed father is a mutt!

Not true. Separating into layers does not create a smaller file. I think you are confusing OCR performed on a scanned image that is used to create an editable text layer - but this does not white out the areas of text!
Most likely the scan was taken into PhotoShop and manipulated into separate layers and saved as PDF (not a JPG) - thus preserving the layer manipulation.

Um, you’re mostly correct, but there was another president who was probably not eligible due to his father not being a citizen at the time of the child’s birth, and that would be Chester A. Arthur, president from 1881 to 1885. He got away with it by destroying records that contradicted his cover story, which he had to have because then as now, the rumors were flying. Sounds familiar, doesn’t it? Which shows, BTW, that parental citizenship was in fact considered a constitutional disqualifier at the time. But not until the turn of the century did his father’s naturalization records surface, proving the “birthers” (aka “eligibility skeptics”) of his time were, in fact, correct about the fatal defect in his credentials.

Aside from all of the subtle mistakes on this doc, and there are many,this typo is stark. It stands right out there. Which is probably why those of us looking for subtleties didn’t catch it. No one would expect something like this to be so danged obvious! But there it is.
