No she should not. This is a lose-lose for her. If her knowledge of the constitution is as lacking as her knowledge of American history she could make a fool out of herself.

“Quality of public education”

Quite a tip-off there Amy. There is no quality.

1) Bachmann is known for inaccuracies in her understanding of history.
2) I suspect that Amy Myers wouldn’t have issued that challenge if she didn’t feel pretty confident about her chances.

Anyway, it’s all moot. No way Bachmann would risk it.

And when she grows up, she can be one of those unbiased news readers on CNN.

Don’t do it, Ms. B. All you’d lose is your stature, but that is no small thing.

My 11 year old son would like to challenge Obama’s knowledge of the Constitution.

See how ridiculous this sounds? If Obama accepts, Obama looks like a fool no matter how well he does. If he turns it down he looks like a chicken.

Typical liberal trap.

No matter how it goes, the press will report that Bachmann lost.

Dear Representative Bachmann,

My name is Amy Myers. I am a Cherry Hill, New Jersey sophomore attending Cherry Hill High School East. As a typical high school student, I have found quite a few of your statements regarding The Constitution of the United States, the quality of public school education and general U.S. civics matters to be factually incorrect, inaccurately applied or grossly distorted. The frequency and scope of these comments prompted me to write this letter.

Though I am not in your home district, or even your home state, you are a United States Representative of some prominence who is subject to national media coverage. News outlets and websites across this country profile your causes and viewpoints on a regular basis. As one of a handful of women in Congress, you hold a distinct privilege and responsibility to better represent your gender nationally. The statements you make help to serve an injustice to not only the position of Congresswoman, but women everywhere. Though politically expedient, incorrect comments cast a shadow on your person and by unfortunate proxy, both your supporters and detractors alike often generalize this shadow to women as a whole.

Rep. Bachmann, the frequent inability you have shown to accurately and factually present even the most basic information about the United States led me to submit the follow challenge, pitting my public education against your advanced legal education:

I, Amy Myers, do hereby challenge Representative Michele Bachmann to a Public Forum Debate and/or Fact Test on The Constitution of the United States, United States History and United States Civics.

Hopefully, we will be able to meet for such an event, as it would prove to be enlightening.

Sincerely yours,
Amy Myers

LOL, that would a great thing to have in election debates, a few questions on the founding documents, instead of the fluff all the networks use.

Yep, and the actual “debate” will be forgotten except for this “fact.” There is really no way to win. If Bachmann actually does win, the press can also say she attacked a child.

LOL - it’s a trap. it’s the same trap as arguing with an idiot, but even worse, an idiot child

if you lose, you’ve lost to an idiot child

if you win, big deal, you won a debate with an idiot child

if you devastatingly win, then you won by being mean to an idiot child.

By a snot nosed New Jersey sophmore?
Not likely.
It would be even MORE laughable if it was a New york sophmore.

“I have a feeling Bachmann would get smoked... “ ==========

Amy girl might blow Bachman away on a test, in a debate, but I put Bachman up against Amy any time anywhere on conservatism and charity ( 23 foster children + 5 of her own ). MATCH THAT, AMY.

A Leftist will aways beat a Constitutionalist in a debate on the Constitution because the Constitution means whatever the Left says it means.
There are no absolutes for Leftists except that there are absolutely no absolutes.
