How about this idea. Let them all enter the primaries and let us decide.

Steyn can say all he wants. The primary winner will rise to the top with a clear lack of fear of calling Obama AND the media what they are and showing the world exactly that.

Besides a fighter, the winner will address the issues, unlike the hate and fear mongering lying DemoRats.

So, let the games begin :-)

Oh he was plenty pissed. Saying he knew much more history about what has been traditionally considered “naturally born”, than any “birther”.

But look, I don’t have the time to listen to Rush much, and Steyn even less, so I don’t have a lot of background on his usual vocal inflections and cadence.

Agreed, on Governor Palin. She is the one.

That's utter garbage; not to mention ignorant and stupid!

None of those, whom you named, has a chance in hell of beating Obama and WHY should Palin be relegated to the VP spot, yet again, on a failed ticket? Newt and Romney are so easily destroyed ( they've mostly done it to themselves )and Pawlenty is a gigantic yawn fest with no grassroots backing!

If Palin doesn't run and win the primaries, not only will Obama win, but the GOP WILL lose the House and you can forget about any pickups in the Senate.

It's a good thing that Steyn is never ever wrong about anything. I've even been thinking about changing my religion from being a Catholic. I'm going to start worshiping Steyn now. After all, the man IS perfect.

Good points. Steyn is a brilliant writer, but a secular conservative. Like Charles Krauthammer and Jonah Goldberg, Steyn can perceptively diagnose our problems but fails to offer real solutions. We need a spiritual revival in addition to tax and budget cuts.

Just more Lefty whistling past Lady Tombstone...

Thank you, Mark, for unwittingly admitting to your abject terror at the very thought of a President Palin. You can run, but you can't hide... because Sarah's coming.

LMAO!!!!

I like almost all of what Marc Steyn writes. He is brilliant.

But there are also large territories that he doesn’t cover.

What does he think about the Right to Life? I don’t really know.

What does he think about strong Christian dedication? I don’t really know.

What does he think about Christian family principles? I don’t know.

I’m not faulting him for any of that. But if Marc was running for public office (I guess he can’t run for POTUS), I’d certainly like to know the answers to those questions.

Tim Pawlenty is kind of a weak midget compared to Sarah. He wouldn’t have a chance fighting the MSM and all the forces of evil and corruption. And while his principles are sound, I’m not sure if he’s strong enough to stick to them under the kind of pressure he would face.

Sarah would.

You're wrong about EVERYTHING you posted!

Cain would be easily destroyed by Obama, the MSM, and the other DEMs! Enough of AFFIRMATIVE ACTION candidates! Blacks won't vote for Cain, there aren't enough guilt ridden whites to vote for him, he has NO political experience and that really DOES matter! And nobody has even a glimmer of an idea about what lurks in his closets.

Stuff that mordant stupidity about a cabinet post; that's utterly USELESS!

Palin's time is now or never!

As I mentioned once, Timmy can borrow Sarah’s steel spine, if she decides not to run. He could use it. Moreover, I can’t seem to keep awake when I listen to him speak.

you post: “With Newt, Romney, Pawlenty and whoever all running in a pack in the high teens, whoever Plain backs wins. The smart move by one of these guys is to tap her as VP again.”

***********
I doubt Palin would bother running for VP on a ticket with either of these can't win candidates.

What we need is Palin/West or West/Palin

Can't you see the libRats and the main slime media trying to fight against that team? First off, their favorite weapon, the RACE CARD would be canceled, over drawn.

The left’s RACE CARD was in full throttle against Justice Thomas and Keyes; even when Keyes used the damned RACE CARD himself, several times over, in the past.

I too, like Steyn a lot, but this is a brain fart. She’s not a king-maker. King-makers have general universal respect. Any liberal comments about Palin show their baseless derision so she’s not going to change any of their minds.
2012 is a deathmatch. She wins and we can roll back the last twenty yrs of this bs. She loses and insurrection starts. We can’t send in the second string anymore.

"If Palin doesn't run, she is a NOBODY and who cares what she has to say?"

The argument for her running boils down to her being a nobody if she does not run? I am not interested in choosing a candidate based on the idea that running will make them in to a somebody. There are people who I care what they say, and they have no political office. If someone needs a political office for people to care what they say, what they have to say can't be very compelling.

Right. Please, look at the (lack of) logic required for this ill-conceived mindset:

Voters respect and admire her so much that they'll vote for virtually anyone she asks them to...

...but not her.

Really? Really? You honestly believe that? C'mon. Get a grip. If the voters have that much respect for her political wisdom, it will be just as (if not much more) effective when she herself is the brass ring waiting inside the voting booth.

Just think about what you're saying, and look at how ridiculously incongruous the two positions juxtapose each other. I know how much the Left (and, sadly, the Old Boy Network RINO's) would love to get you to actually swallow this mindless, unthinking slop.

But their desperate flailing at retaining control of their power is no excuse for you to put your brain on "hold" and forfeit the bright future America has in store with simple, effective, Constitutionally grounded leadership.

If Sarah can effectively lead the masses to elect others, she can lead them to give her the helm for the next 8 years. And that's all we need to take our country back, and rid ourselves of the scourge of the Beltway weasels.

Everyone seems to be assuming that Sarah will not run. But if she does not, she will have the power to veto any of the other candidates - and I think that is a good thing. She holds the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval. The other candidates had beetr have nice things to say about her.

This might have been news yesterday, Mark is great, but like all of us he occasionally wrong. This nonsense uses up a lot of his good will.
