“Man Caught on Camera Breaking into Dam”
May 13, 2011
By Heather Hintze
LOWELL, Ore. —
SNIPPET: “One of the project managers say he received a credible tip Friday morning as to who that person is and why they were taking pictures.
He passed that information along to the FBI.”
They need to tie these cameras into some kind of alert system that can send an, ahem, greeting party out to meet the next such wee hours visitor.
My first thought was an eco-terrorist. No shortage of them in the Northwest. But then I have to ask why the camera? An eco-terrorist would have done their dammage and fled.
“UPDATE: FBI thinks they have found the man that climbed a razor wire fence at Lookout Point Dam”
SNIPPET: “UPDATE: FBI thinks they have found the man that climbed a razor wire fence at Lookout Point Dam. The Army Corp. of Engineers received a tip about who the man seen in surveillance video at Lookout Point Dam may be. FBI investigators say they think it might be the man seen climbing the razor wire fence in the middle of the night with a camera.”

That’s a very good observation and point, NavyCanDo.
A camera with an alert system is a very good idea HiTechRedNeck.
and ... ????
The Earth Liberation Front here is very active and responsible for dozens of arsons including the Street of Dreams in 2008 that destroyed 4 luxury homes causing 7 million in damage.
Still if it is ELF why the camera, and what are they planning. If it's not ELF, who the heck is it? The unknown is more scary than the known.
that’s all until the next update.
Would be VERY entertaining if the ‘greeting party’ included 3 or 4 overly agressive Doberman’s. Love to see that sh*t on camera. :0)

Me too. I just looked at the photos, and looked like the guy hung out right under the camera. Must have been well hidden, or perhaps some cool technology. I work at a place once in-awhile and there are cameras set up in a dome shaped housing - and seem too widely spaced to be “normal” cameras to be of much good.
well, it’s not my Eugene resident B-I-L.
Besides, he’s too busy working for a living and he’s a lousy photographer.
