Obama Blames Europe, Japan for US Economic Woes
Reuters via CNBC (yeah. I know.) ^ | 6/5/2011

President Obama is pointing to problems in Japan and Europe as challenges for the U.S. economy, placing some blame on events abroad for a domestic recovery that is showing signs of slowing down.

Government data released Friday showed employers in May hired the fewest number of workers in eight months and U.S. unemployment rose to 9.1 percent, up from 9.0 percent in April.

That bump is a political challenge for the president, whose re-election in 2012 may depend on his ability to convince voters that his economic policies have been successful.

Part of his pitch will include steering attention to outside forces as causes for economic woes at home.

The president did just that in his weekly radio and Internet address, broadcast Saturday, by highlighting "head winds" that are affecting the United States.

"Even though our economy has created more than two million private sector jobs over the past 15 months and continues to grow, we're facing some tough head winds," he said.

"Lately, it's high gas prices, the earthquake in Japan, and unease about the European fiscal situation. That will happen from time to time. There will be bumps on the road to recovery."

Been out of work since 1-1-2011.

Ever time I hear about unemployment RISING to 9 percent I call BULLSTALIN.

They write people OFF the rolls to keep the number below 10%

maybe there needs to be a public awareness campaign.

These so-called “people who are no longer looking for a job” need to tweak their answers so that they become included in the unemployment numbers.

AC/DC is far more my speed too, as you probably know, but the original comment that sparked my post just made it too easy.

“”Lately, it’s high gas prices, the earthquake in Japan, and unease about the European fiscal situation. That will happen from time to time. There will be bumps on the road to recovery.”

The gas prices are a result of the falling dollar which is Obama’s doing by monetizing the debt. As for Europe and Japan causing us problems, they too are a reaction to the US insolvency.

"Lately, it's high gas prices,

So the solution is to cripple energy production here,

the earthquake in Japan,

Strange how dependent we are all of a sudden. Obama didn't have 9-11 to deal with.

and unease about the European fiscal situation.

Our "fiscal situation" doesn't make him nervous.

Don't forget the boob belts. They had to have seriously impacted the space/time continuum.

My husband has been out of work since SEPTEMBER 2009. Unemployment ran out almost two months ago as it did for millions, hence the fake bump in the lower unemployment number. All they do is lie.

Construction has been killed by ZerO.

Let me fix this:

That bump is a political challenge for the president, whose re-election in 2012 may depend on his ability to convince voters that his economic policies have been successful.

Part of his pitch, like Hitler and every other dictator, will include xenophobically steering attention to outside forces as causes for economic woes at home.

The president did just that in his weekly radio and Internet address, broadcast Saturday, by continuing to lie about everything he can in every way he can like he has since well before the beginning of his presidency.

It is his goal to take down western civilization. America is the key. Then he will blame Israel and declare war on them. Sound ridiculous? That’s where I think the great Ghazi wants to go.

And it doesnt stop there. After Israel the muzzies will feel empowered, then its onto greater things ~ America and Europe, not necessarily in that order.

The sooner he is evicted, the better.
