President Barack Obama has problems in Florida that he didn't have when he won this pivotal swing state in 2008.
The economy here is worse than elsewhere. Foreclosures are high. Property values are low. And, now that he's the president, Obama could be blamed.
Voters' shifting attitudes underscore the degree to which the atmosphere has changed since his first campaign; Florida Democrats made gains in the 2008 elections with Obama on the top of the ticket, but the GOP won big across the state just two years later.
All that explains why Florida Democrats are redoubling their efforts to re-energize the rank and file - including Saturday at the state party's Jefferson-Jackson Dinner - and why Obama's campaign team has been on the ground training volunteers a full 17 months before the election.
The challenges also explain why Obama, himself, has been such a frequent visitor to the Sunshine State.

Also recall that the the Omaha CD is off the table along with 6 votes from reapportionment. Also recall that a tie will win in 2012 whereas it would have lost in 2008. That basically cuts obamao's margin by over a third -- from 96.5 down to 62.5.
Note that almost half of the remaining margin is represented by Florida's 29 votes.
Here north of Tampa very nice homes are going for a lot less. There are some really nice four bedrooms in not bad areas with pools and all such for 60K.
Don’t know of any right off.
Personally I thought the nation was gooey fruitcake nutty to reelect Bill Clinton and Obama makes Clinton look like Reagan by comparison.
WTF?
why do you think obama is pushing the settment against the banks.
if obama can force principle reduction and checks to borrowers who have or may be forclosed then he gets bonus points.
it is insane to buy condos or hoa homes in FL.
the fees not paid to foclosed units go on the backs of the remaining owners.
I think it’s very unlikely that Trump would run as an independent because that would be on his own money.
I believe the Don likes to use others $$$.
Why is a lifetime voting ban a good thing? At what point does a criminal finally pay for his crimes? Never?
“My concern is “what” are they training them to do? Cheat like hell and steal the election?”

Of course not, they are being trained in sweetness and light, they plan to sprinkle daisies in the path of the Republicans and overcome the opposition with kindness.

Yes, never. Never work for a bank, be a CPA, be a military or law enforement officer...there are many “nevers”. Voting should be one of them in my opinoin. As a practical matter, it prevents thousands of democrat votes, which is good as far as I am concerned.
So, accroding to you, there is no finite price to pay for one’s crimes?
Voting is a basic right of citizenship. Once a convict’s sentence is complete, all rights should be restored with limited case by case exceptions.
I’m not sure what it accomplishes to keep Tom Delay, G. Gordon Liddy, or Martha Stewart from voting.
