I'd believe her if she would have fired Ed Rollins. He's always lurking in the shadows.

Yep. Would have been funnier if she said: “in the mud like Maureen O’Hara and John Gacy in McClintock, wink”

:I guess they’d make a similar snarky comment about ‘two progressive darlings’ ... yeah right.”

Imagine the draw of mud-wrestling between those two progressive darlings, Rosa DeLauro and Debbie Wasserman-Schulz. Sell out, I tell ya.

Michele Bachmann: People want to see me 'mud-wrestling' with Sarah Palin

Well, yes, I would like to see that. ..... Second Amendment First

Not a good comment. ..... Steely Tom

The GOP race is now a joke even on Free Republic. Imagine how the rest of America sees it.

Texas Governor Rick Perry is rumored to be planning to announce his entry into the Presidential race in August.

Rick Perry is reportedly going to announce a formal bid for the Republican presidential nomination in early August

Until that time, the GOP race will be considered as a Reality TV joke by the media and by the majority of American voters.

Having the media on one side and Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann on the other side, constantly baiting each other as if they were on the Jerry Springer Show, complete with illusions to “two girls coming together to have a mud wrestling fight”, only perpetuates the joke.

Most American voters are not laughing with the current GOP field. They are laughing at it.

America will not elect another Affirmative Action candidate, such as Michelle Bachmann, who has no executive experience, who has been in Congress since 2007 and who would not be given the time of day if she were one of the white male Freshman Congressmen of the Class of 2007.

America fell for an Affirmative Action fiasco once and now sorely regrets it. Given the choice between two Affirmative Action candidates, America will stick with the one it already knows and who has had four years of executive experience since he was elected the last time.

America is desperately seeking competent leadership and experience and Sarah Palin sees the handwriting on the wall.

MAY 31, 2011 .... Palin plugs Perry: "I really like him" .... Unprompted, Sarah Palin brought up Rick Perry's name yesterday as a strong presidential candidate. "I think he would be a fine candidate.... we have a lot in common. I really like him.

I predict that Sarah Palin will eventually endorse Governor Perry for President and the joke candidates of the GOP race (a pizza chain CEO who has never been elected to any office with Politically Correct skin color and a Congress-critter since 2007, without any executive experience but with a Politically Correct gender and a pretty face) will join Donald Trump as amusing footnotes to the 2012 Presidential Election.

Governor Sarah Palin's Endorsement of Governor Rick Perry

"That's why I am supporting Governor Rick Perry for re-election. He does what is right regardless of whether it is popular. He walks the walk of a true conservative. And he sticks to his guns – and you know how I feel about guns!" ...... Sarah Palin, January 17, 2009

Is Governor Rick Perry a perfect candidate.

Of course not. No mere mortal is perfect and never will be .... especially if he actually had to govern as a chief executive of the second most populous State in the Union instead of spending his time parroting talking points, that cater only to the base, in front of a TV camera, like Michelle Bachmann had the luxury of doing.

Congress-critters are talkers that can spend their entire lives preaching to their adoring choir. Congress-critters do not have to actually accomplish anything. Governors, on the other hand, are doers who must actually govern in the Real World and who must please more than 30% of the voters in order to actually get elected.

Rick Perry is far from perfect but, so far, Rick Perry, Governor of the State of Texas for ten and a half years, is the most conservative potential candidate out there, that has expressed any interest, that can actually whip Barack Hussein Obama in November of 2012 and who is not considered the punchline of a joke by most of America's voters.

Good post.

"The GOP race is now a joke even on Free Republic. Imagine how the rest of America sees it."

Yep. I see it as all cattle and no hat. If they can't say what they will do if elected, I don't want to see them elected.

Bachmann’s gaffes are self-induced rather than ... the Paul Revere statement, which many historians say was correct.

A small portion of Sarah Palin's Paul Revere statement was correct .... sort of .... if you rationalize it enough and, in regards to the rest of the statement, you just announce, "Move along folks. Absolutely nothing to see here. Move along now. No! Do NOT look at that part! Just move along."

No historian ever has, or ever will, back the Palin version of Paul Revere "ringing those bells and .... to send those warning shots and bells".

Maybe I am showing my age but, when I was in elementary school, every school child knew about "One if by land and two if by sea", referring to silent LANTERNS, at the tower of the Old North Church. Paul Revere never fired a single warning shot or rang a single bell.

Paul Revere's Lantern

In addition, the primary mission of Paul Revere was to warn the COLONISTS of the approach of the British troops. The fact that Revere was captured and .... ummm ... "persuaded" with "enhanced interrogation techniques" .... ("Start talking, Yank, if you want to live until sunrise.") .... by the British to spill some of the beans (he lied about the colonist numbers), in no way, shape or form means that the primary mission of Paul Revere was to trash-talk to the British as Sarah Palin implied.

In Sarah Palin's version, you can imagine Paul Revere riding from town to town, firing shots and ringing bells, in order to trash-talk to the British:

"You want our arms, Redcoats! Come and get 'em. (BANG! BANG!) We'll kick your Limey butts! (CLANG! CLANG!) Did you hear those bells, Redcoats? (CLANG! CLANG!) We're ready for you. With this! (BANG! BANG!) And this! (BANG! BANG!)"

Sarah Palin, after hearing about History or reading about History, retains some of it, ... sort of, ... but let's just say that she takes a lot of cleaning up after.

"He who warned, uh, the British that they weren’t gonna be takin’ away our arms, uh, by ringing those bells, and um, makin' sure as he’s riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be sure and we were going to be free, and we were going to be armed." .... Sarah Palin.

After the warning of the British advance reached the colonists, were bells rung BY THE COLONISTS and warning shots fired BY THE COLONISTS?

Yes, they did not have Telephone Trees back then.

Did Paul Revere ever ring bells HIMSELF and fire warning shots HIMSELF as Sarah Palin claimed?

Of course not. That would be totally idiotic on Paul Revere's part. The last thing that Paul Revere wanted on his ride to warn the colonists of the British advance was to call British attention to himself and increase his risk of capture by the British.

Did Paul Revere ever want to tell the British anything that night?

Of course not. The LAST thing that Paul Revere wanted that night was to have ANY contact or ANY communication with the British whatsoever.

Chris Matthews showed the clip on his show and most in the crowd started laughing. They clearly took it as a joke and thought it was funny.

Real men do not lust for or ogle married women.

I totally agree, and so do the majority of American voters, which is exactly why the irrational infatuation with Sarah Palin is so dangerous.

The reality is that, if Sarah Palin were "Sam Palin", a fat, bald, 47 year old, white male that looked like George Costanza, not a single person on Free Republic would be gushing over "Sam Palin".

Former Governor of Alaska
(for less than 3 years)
Sam Palin for President of the United States in 2012

Why do you think that the photo below has been plastered on almost every Sarah Palin gushing thread on Free Republic?

Because the photo accentuates Sarah Palin's gravitas?

No, "gravitas" is not Latin for "great-looking pair of legs".

All the Free Republic gushing over Sarah Palin is due to how that married woman looks and not due in the least to her ability to actually defeat Barack Hussein Obama in the general Presidential Election in November of 2012.

Instead of the reality of the danger of the guaranteed reelection of Barack Hussein Obama as a result of a GOP nomination of Sarah Palin, far too many males on Free Republic are mesmerized by the juvenile fantasy of ogling a married woman's legs at the door of Air Force One.

Just look at this thread. Start reading the posts, one by one, starting from Post 1. The vast majority of the thread is nothing more than juvenile fantasizing about a married woman in a kinky situation.

America will simply reelect Barack Hussein Obama rather than elected a candidate that has been turned into an idolized pin up girl by her own supporters.

The same thing goes for Michele Bachmann. What white, male Congress-critter of the Class of 2007, without any executive experience, is even jokingly proposed as a serious Presidential candidate in 2012?

Not a single one of them.

The entire Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann infatuation is nothing more than the juvenile ogling of married women.

Speak for yourself, pal.

I guarantee you, I would be gushing over a "Sam Palin" Costanza look-alike if his political accomplishments, postitions, and acumen were the same as Sarah Palin's.

And I guarantee you that I would have a lot of company, right here on Free Republic.

Here's the deal, Skippy. The most handsome man or gorgeous woman becomes genuinely, physically ugly in the eyes of people who know the individual to be a vile, mean, lying, manipulative creep. I have seen it in others and experienced it in myself enough to know this for sure.

A person who looked like Costanza, and who had led the adventurous Alaskan life (hunting, commercial fishing, etc.) that Palin has, would very likely seem handsome because good looks are as much a part of one's bearing and confidence as one's bone structure.

With sadness, in part because I am a woman, I will say that a guy like Steve Forbes would WIN if women didn't have the vote; a guy like Clinton WON because women did.

Same here. My support for Palin has absolutely nothing to do with her appearance or gender. As Martin Luther King said; judge people by the content of their character. Outward appearances are a non-issue with me. What Palin brings to the scene is exactly what Washington DC culture of corruption is missing and she is willing to do something about it. While the other contenders may not be in the corrupt category, they surely are trapped by that system.
