The Norwegian police on Saturday charged a 32-year-old man, whom they identified as a Christian fundamentalist with right-wing connections, over the bombing of a government center here and a shooting attack on a nearby island that together left at least 91 people dead. Multimedia

A spokeswoman for Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg said he was safe. More Photos » The police said they did not know if the man, identified in the Norwegian press as Anders Behring Breivik, was part of a larger conspiracy. He is being questioned under the country’s terrorism laws and is cooperating with the investigation, they said.

“We are not sure whether he was alone or had help,” a police official, Roger Andresen, said at a televised press conference, adding: “What we know is that he is right-wing and a Christian fundamentalist.” So far Mr. Breivik has not been linked to any anti-jihadist groups, he said.

Now we have to worry about right extremists as well as islamist.

Seems you forgot about the left-wing variety -- Jared Loughner, for one.

The neo-nazis are confidential(very little groups) and they rarely(or never)made this kind of actions.*******

The nazis and neo-nazis also share a good deal of common ground with the muslims. One only has to look at WW2 and the action in the Balkans along with the fact that Hitler promised the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem that he would get the privilege of killing off the remaining Jews in the Middle East after the Nazi victory. THeir is a reason Mein Kampf sells so well in the ME.

The nazis and muslims share a common ideology in many respects.

Wait, this was done on a Norwegian Holiday? Why would an anti-government Norwegian born and raised citizen want to bomb the government on a holiday when no government would be there? That would be like the OKC bomber doing it on Labor Day or something!

Well, from a purely tactical point of view:

1.) Unlike the relatively obscure Oklahoma City Federal Building that had a easy accesible parking, this top-level Norwegian Government building was on a very busy city street with very limited parking in front of it. "He (McVeigh) parked the Ryder truck in a drop-off zone situated under the building's day-care center,..."

2.) Any attempt to park the van in front of the building during a work day would have resulted in no parking spaces being available in front of the building. Any illegal parking would have attracted immediate Police attention and may have foiled the plan.

3.) By choosing a holiday, ample parking was available to park the bomb van right in front of the building and walk away.

4.) The killing was to be done elsewhere:

"The island retreat belonged to the political party of the prime minister. The prime minister himself spent time there as a youth. ..... 80 posted on Saturday, July 23, 2011 3:27:01 AM by longjack

================

5.) On holiday, the island would have been filled with the children of the targeted political party. Reports says the gunman masqueraded as a policeman, gathered the children to announce the political bombing of a building that their parents may have been in, then opened fire.

Tactically, in an extremely evil way, the plan is very logical and practical.

europeans are soooo transparent. I guess they think most people have forgotten that the Nazi’s burned the Reichstag and blamed the Commies.

People are much more informed now, and with the internet can do their own research and find a closer truth than the swill the commie/fascist/progressive/socialist msm tries to shove down our throats. Why do you think that Europe has held onto their Socialist dreams. They have never truely disavowed the National Socialist or Fascist doctrines they really crave. Just changed the name (sort of like ACORN), and went underground.

Our prayers are with the families of those slain in such a terrible way.

Who did it, and what the motivation will not ease one bit of their pain and grief.

But, this madman is no Christian, even though he may call himself that. Many of us in the USA do not like our “Democrat” party, and would be called “right-wing” and Christian by our media, but we do not go around bombing and shooting Democrats.

Honestly, anyone suggesting that a member of a Nazi terror-plotting website was also a Christian conservative Tea Party supporter is either a complete fool, or a professional liar.

BTT!

This smells a little *too* cute.

you are correct, grey_whiskers. This is Arizona style reporting, which failed, being brought out and utilized again. There is no doubt, the playbook of those controlling the information release is to cause people to believe a certain way. Those with low IQs will be the last to think for themselves and therefore they will go as sheep to slaughter, without a clue, as to what the truth was and is, for someone else will tell those going to slaughter what to believe. It is the propaganda of war resurrected over and over again throughout history, is what is being witnessed ... imho

...BTW, in case anyone missed it, the fertilizer they say was delivered to his farm is STILL THERE. The police located it and except for what was used on his farm, it is all there...

This article says only 3 tons remain at the perp's farm:

http://www.dagbladet.no/2011/07/23/nyheter/innenriks/terror/utoya/17428047/

The article also states the guy was arrested iin 2006 for growing marijuana on his farm.

Sorry, I read that wrong. The perp was apparently only RENTING the farm. The farm owner was the one arrested for growing marijuana and is in prison.

Well, I thought the other post with the picture of the cowardly police hiding, waiting for the gunman to run out of ammo was a sickening picture...

But your pic #2 tops that one.

How incredibly sad.

That one made the tears flow.

A Prayer for all the children “Lord, accept these innocent lambs into the gates of Heaven and give them eternal peace,Amen.”

Now paging Ranya Bardiwell and Phil Carson....

I wouldn't put it past the globalists to pull a stunt like the stadium shooting in your first book in order to get global gun control on the fast track since the US Senate has been most uncooperative in that arena as of yesterday it seems...

The UN Global Gun Control treaty will pass or fail with or without the help of the U.S. Senate. It will likely now pass the U.N. on a fast track basis with this massacre that just happened in Norway. And pass with severe restritions on private gun ownership for any nation that adopts this treaty.

However, like you alluded to, yesterday, 51 U.S. Senators pledged not to ratify any UN Small Arms/Gun Control Treaty that has any provisions that effect private ownership of firearms.

U.S. Senate Stands with NRA in Strongly Opposing U.N Gun Control Efforts

For any UN Small Arms/Gun Control Treaty to take any effect or become the law in the United States, it must be ratified by the U.S. Senate and ratification for any treaty requires the votes of 2/3 of the Senate or 67 Senators to approve the treaty, per the U.S. Constitution. That is not taking into effect any court challenges against this treaty challenging the constitutionality of this treaty as to it's effect on the 2nd amendment.

Right now, 51 Senators are publicly on board as opposing any UN Treaty that adversly effects the 2nd Amendment or civilian ownership of small arms, well short of the 67 required for any UN Treaty to become law here. So the UN can pass any gun control treaty they wish, it will have no effect on civilian gun owners within the United States unless it is ratified by the U.S. Senate.

Just like the Kyoto treaty, it will not become law here unless it is ratified by the Senate. A few of those 51 Senators may go wobbly because of the Norway tragedy, but there will still be over 40 who will never ratify this treaty, more than enough to stop this UN treaty from becoming law here.

I too have read all three books of Travis' (Matt's) 'Enemies, Foreign and Domestic' series. I do not feel that this tragedy will have any serious consequences on domestic U.S. Gun Laws, since it happened overseas. If it happened here on U.S. Soil, who knows.

Obama and his ilk may try some more administrative gun control actions, but I do not forsee any new gun control laws coming out of either house of Congress over this. Heck, in light of 'Fast and Furious/Gunwalker', if Obama and his ilk to try to enact more gun control via exexutive order, they will have to answer to an angry and sceptical Congress.

This Norwegian massacre will certainly hearten the gun grabbers in this country to step up their efforts, but will have no effect on this congress.

Wait, this was done on a Norwegian Holiday?

Could be there was a little more significance to the date.

We’ll find out later that it has the fingerprints of the religion of pieces all over it. But whoever gets the first word wins, so of course they’re saying it was done by a right wing christian. Let me guess, they arrived at the brilliant conclusion because he attended a christian church once at the age of 5.

That is very curious. There's a lot more to this story than meets the news cycle, I suspect. Hopefully we'll find out shortly.

I'd been curious about what this guy did for a living as nothing had been said. Then reports mentioned "a farm owned by" the shooter. Later I'd heard on Sky News that he is from a prominent family and "very wealthy".

Once someone is identified, we usually hear their occupation. The info might change, but it sounds like at this point that this guy had money and property and no full time occupation.

Have you tried telling that to some of your lefty friends who are on a steady diet of the MSM kool-aid?
