Surprise, surprise. Way to go House GOP. You got republicans and conservatives fighting with each other over a bill that will be tabled in the Senate.

That was going to happen anyway, so what is your point?

Fine. Go with the plan that has passed.

That's because Obama has another plan already up his sleeve. He's waiting until the 11th hour so that when the Republicans vote against his “genius plan to save America” they will be blamed for whatever happens on Aug 2 (if anything does happen).

Notice they will table it. Not vote it down. If the Senate GOP hangs tough and blocks Reid’s bill they may just have to take it up again. I would have thought the Dems would just amend the heck out of it and send it to conference.

Did you think there would have been a bill that wouldn't have been tabled in the Senate?

Why exactly are you blaming the GOP for that?

And your point is??????? You want them to pass a blank check to 0bama and no budget reforms? ANYTHING short of that was going to get tabled by reid - you expected more?

I wish a really knowledgeable parliamentarian would tell me and the GOP what the options are in the Senate if the House bill passes today. I want somebody on our side to come up with some of those “deem-it-passed” maneuvers. We can wait to vote out the Senate Dems at the ballot box, but it would be so much more fun to bamboozle them for a change.

If you’re going to pass something that will be tabled anyway, pass something in the House that you can really live with- put the Ryan budget back up, CCB, etc. Make it look like you’re actively doing something to solve the problem, and put the onus on the Dems to react.

Then ask the phony “moderate” Dems what exactly it is that they are looking for here to get on board. Isolate them, and put them on the spot. Make it look like we will “default” all because of the intransigence of a handful of Senate Dems...

Naming more Post Offices as we type. Glad the priorities are straight.

In which case the House returns the favor. Way past time the GOP quit playing with these clowns.

CCB is the compromise Bill Reid. You and your Senatorial clowns can pass it or default, the choice is yours.

I was told the 3.0 plan would raise the debt cap twice: once for the short term and the 2nd time only with a passed balanced budget amendment that is sent to the states for ratification.

That sounds pretty good except that the ACORN states could probably kill it and send right back to where we are now.

I am proud of the TEA PARTY Caucus.

This is the GOP’s last chance. I’m hoping against hope that boner is waiting until the last minute to send it to the senate. At that point there will be no time to change it and send it back. Hoping against hope.

If they blow this, there will be a third party and the GOP will be no more. Let the dems have it. Let them destroy the country. It’s going to happen sooner or later anyway. Let’s get it over with.

Then again, I’m getting old. I’m going to grab hold of the government teat and live out my days. And to think about it, I don’t know why we hate people on the government dole. Both parties live off the government. And live pretty well, too.

This had nothing to do with the GOP.

What about this do you not get?

The Senate won’t vote or even open debate on any measure sent to them.

None of the bills will stop the downgrade. NONE OF THEM.

This isn’t about the wording of the bills.

Fine. House should vote and take the weekend off. These thieves in the Dem Senate get the House of Representatives to jump through rings of fire THREE FRIGGN TIMES to do what??? VOte to not VOTE??? They can take their pick of the 3 bills that have been submitted and VOTE. They cannot merely mark themselves present. Pass the Ryan budget, the CC&B or this latest one. Take your pick. TGhe work of the House has been done. The work of the Senate has not. And the will of the people has not. This sits with THEM. Freaking cowards. Meanwhile, 0boomba celebrates his birthday on the backs of the American people. This may end badly..but it must end. I am sick of getting slapped in the face by the utter disregard of this, the worst administration in the history of our nation.

Boehner’s next speech:

“The irresponsible Senate leadership has now rejected 3 budgets. They actually took the time to defeat the President’s budget, 97-0. They haven’t had the courage to bring either house proposal to the floor, either for discussion, a vote, or ammendment. The Senator’s who’ve spent the last 6 months criticizing the work of the House, have done nothing to produce a plan for conducting the business and maintaining the obligations of the American government!”
“Mr. President, YOU have a problem! Perhaps it’s time to focus your attention on your friends in the Senate, who have produced NOTHING, and stop criticizing those in the House, who have worked so hard on behalf of the American people.”

“You got republicans and conservatives fighting with each other over a bill that will be tabled in the Senate.”

Among other more important considerations, this was a needless PR disaster for Republicans. Boehner botched it big time.

So what vehicle will the Senate use to get a bill to the House? Will there be a “Reid Balanced Budget Bill”? Will CCB come back?
