"As soon as I opened the door, somebody grabbed me and took me outside and put me on the grass," Tossa said. "The first thing I thought was they were terrorists who want to kill me because I served in Iraq."

The DEA agents were executing a search warrant.

“I kept asking, what’s going on?” he said. “And they held my neck to the ground so I can’t talk.”

According to the report, the DEA was executing a search warrant for Tossa’s landlord’s son, who apparently uses Tossa’s one-story house’s address for mailing.

“Before they raid any house, they should have more information,” Tossa said. “Not rumors.”

Brent,

Good officers who follow Peelian principles will always be honored here on Free Republic by all intellectually honest conservative posters.

Thank you for your service, and for every action you take to combat bad cops.

Can’t be worse than the brain power that actually believes this country is “drug free.” That’s so ridiculous that it’s hard to believe that any adult with a working brain would say it.

As a police officer these stories enrage and sadden me.

brent13a, thank you for your service both to our country and your community. I work with the police on a daily basis and the vast, vast majority are hard working and conscientious professionals. I have seen officers show incredible kindness to all types of people.

Unfortunately, I have also worked with the burned out, the lazy and a couple who were pure evil. A couple of our best friends’ daughter was murdered by her husband who was our community's police chief. I also worked with a police officer who turned out to be a child molester and I believe was probably responsible for the suicide death of one of the most promising young men my wife and I ever met.

In both of these cases there were warning signs that might/should have tipped us off. I hope that we have learned enough to intervene before tragedy strikes again in the future. But I fear that there will always be a few that will slip through the cracks, especially when our union dues are often used to keep the bad ones on the job. This goes for firefighters and police officers.

It is not right when the actions of a very few stain the reputations of the vast majority who are honorable good people who work hard, sacrifice, and give their all for their fellow citizens.

Aside from that we need to toughen our drug laws so pushers get tried and hanged. This would be hard drug pushers. Marijuana sellers I would exile from the United States for 5 years

Great, we can become another Iran.

No kidding. Hell, it says in the mailbox block in my townhouse complex that only residents of the townhouse (and you have to leave the postal guy a note saying another last name lives there) receive mail, yet other mail from the previous owner slips through. Hope she wasn’t a drug dealer!

The boy in the video is only 7 years old. The dog the entry team shoots is a CORGI —you can hear him crying before dying:

You are assuming that the renter knew the landlord's son was using that address. Since makinmg assumptions is the best you've ever done we shouldn't be too hard on you.

I am not making much of an assumption when the news item (which I assume you read) states:

"Tossa’s landlord’s son, who apparently uses Tossa’s one-story house’s address for mailing."

I further assume that you understand what mail is and how it works.

But since you need to include a personal slight in your response to me - let me inform you I really don't care much considering you are a long term (a life time really) drug abuser who brags about "40 years of pot smoking experience".

If you think you are going to continue a personal vendetta against me on this forum without me throwing in your face what a disgrace you are, then you are as crazy as people can safely assume you to be for your admitted long term drug usage.

The next time you light up remember it, and stuff that in your pipe and smoke it.

I sure do. Thanks for proving that assumptions are all you have to offer too.

Many people have mailing addresses registered in their name but don't get any mail there anymore. Not everyone follows the rules and has only one mailing address. Some people just notify everyone who needs to know, except the Post Office, that they have a new address.

Many people do?

Funny, I can’t think of a single creep like that.

I wonder how he keeps from junk mail lists.

I reply to a post of yours in context of the thread and you call it a vendetta? Why are you so paranoid?

I don’t get any junk mail. You seem to be completely ignorant on the subject of mail.

You might want to wake your single braincell up.

The news item you are supposed to have read said of the suspect:

"Tossa’s landlord’s son, who apparently uses Tossa’s one-story house’s address for mailing.

Note the word "uses".

As in: active use.

Note the word "mailing".

As in: the operating mail system.

You have to be one serious Cop Hater to attempt the twisting of reality to suit your own warped perspective of the world. But we know where that comes from don't we?

I’m a “cop hater” because I actually know how the mail works and you don’t? The word “use” there doesn’t mean anything other than the guy was registered at the PO at that address. Your literalism is a sign of extreme neurosis.

Well thanks for all that.

You responses here have been quite amusing, I assure you.

In your Cop Hating zeal you make up ridiculous assumptions of your own while faulting me for commenting on what this news article actually states as a fact.

But now I actually do have to visit the post office and I already know a from you that a loser who brags about “40 years of pot smoking experience” can go on mumbling insane assumptions non stop.

Why are your cognitive functions so much slower than mine. And is that the reason you’re such a fascist pig? It’s clear from all the responses to you that a lot of people think so too.

The black humor of it all is epitomized in the tendency of overeducated idiots, who use Libertarian arguments, to defend the right to sell and consume poisonous drugs such as heroin, cocaine and methedrine

At least they are making an argument, as opposed to the totally false and idiotic claim that the “we” live in a “drug free society.” The number of bars and liquor stores in this country should be enough for even a third grader to notice we don’t.

If those people posted their sick drug ideals on DU they would be accepted with open arms, while conservatives like us would be banned in minutes if not seconds.

To me, that says a lot.

And who knows - many of them probably do to advance their drug agenda. One browser window is signed in at DU and another is signed in here at FR.

It is interesting that you Cop Haters often have to cling to group thought.

Yours is the third post seeking to do so in this thread and I did not even bother to read every post, could be more.

Here is a tip for you - when creeps like those don't have a problem with you - you have a problem.
