Top Aide to Rick Perry Tells Fox News the Texas Governor Will Enter GOP Presidential Race
Fox News ^ | August `11th, 2011

Texas Gov. Rick Perry will make "a definitive announcement that he is in the 2012 race for the presidency Saturday," aides told Fox News.

The language is significant. For several days the Perry camp has said he would signal his intentions and announce later.

"This is it," the sources explain. No exploratory committee, no more deliberation.

-"BTW I seriously doubt Palin would announce her running on the anniversary of Woman's Right to Vote in order to make some kind of a point. That is something Hildabeast would do."

I politely disagree with this assessment. Palin stresses 'feminism' but not in the leftist tone. In fact, Palin gave a nod to Hillary herself upon being selected for VP candidate slot.

His wife told him to run.

This means Palin is not running....

I agree with you and I expect she will tell us so shortly after Perry makes his candidacy official.

And I expect her to endorse Perry and actively support his campaign.

If Palin doesn’t run I will support Perry in the Primary on one condition: that he skewers Obama constantly and pointedly. That may seem petty but it’s the main test....because it means he won’t shy away during the debates with Obama if Obama actually lowers himself to a debate. Another question I have is are there any skeletons we should be worried about?

I heard Mark Levin talking on this, we need our nominee to be a proud unapologetic Conservitive. Lose the Queensberry rules and go after Obongo like he was a child molester.

She made a fatal error in making herself a female candidate instead of just a candidate. Bachmann is just a conservative candidate who is also a woman. Palin has decided to make it a point she is a female candidate who happens to be conservative.

It's become about her as a personality and she is partly responsible for that.

1. They said the same about Reagan in 1980.

Different Generation of people altogether...

People born in 1980 are now 31 yrs and under..

****The Entitlement Generation***

Before 1980 the majority of Americans valued *Family* and hard work to Achieve the *American Dream*

That is not the mindset of our current generation.....

immoral and looking for hand-out’s...

Reminds me of a movie starring Nick Nolte and Rip Torn as cops in a Texas border town.

The RINO establishment hates Perry.

They tried to crush him recently.

I will try to be gentle here. You have bought into a lib 'meme' that says "Palin cannot beat Obama". That does not hold up to any historical analysis in Presidential politics.

The problem for Sarah is that she has a very high disapproval rating (56%), a very low approval rating (38%), and a fairly small group of undecided/no opinion. She also has almost 100% name recognition, so there are not a lot of new people who don't know about her already. I had hoped after 2008 that she would be able to overcome the negative image of the perpetuated by the MSM, but her negatives have actually gone UP in the last three years. In other words, she has not shown an ability over the past three years to change the opinions of the independents and moderate Republicans - without whom she cannot win the election.

I wouldn’t pick her for VP candidate if I were the GOP candidate...and I think she would agree.

Except for the knock-down-drag out between him and Kay Bailey Hutchenson, you mean, where Bush, Rove, etc endorsed KBH.

KBH was like the teenager with the Honda with the little engine and big muffler. A lot of noise but it is going nowhere fast.

KBH had a little bump at the get-go but she never was really close to Perry. And if not for Medina the spread would have been much larger. KBH did not and does not have wide support across the state. Besides that, many thought it better to leave her in the Senate. Bush and Rove had been gone from the state for some time and really didn't have much real structure they could tap. They had little juice.

KBH was her usual boring self and anyone could tell she did not have her heart in the contest.

Perry never thought he'd be Texas Gov. for this long. You could see with the Gardasil and TTC issues he was looking for a source of income after he left office. But he did not leave office because he had such losers running against him. He has been very lucky. He is the big douche running against a turd sandwich. Or sandwiches... Kinky? Bill White? Chris Bell? LOL! Given that if it came down to Perry vs Obama the race would be right up Perry's alley. People like myself who held their noses and voted for him time and again in Texas would do the same in a race with him against Obama. Except this time the smell will not be so bad.....

I am terribly underwhelmed. JUST what we need ... RINO #2. Watch them end up on the ticket together.

Plus, I don’t believe Perry is competent. I think he is, probably, the worst candidate we could nominate.

Would someone wake up Sarah please?
