“Your ‘cut/paste” skills are outstanding! “

Thanks - lots of years of experience.

“Gov. Perry has made mistakes but has corrected them when fellow conservatives expressed their displeasure.”

Yes and no, see TTC and private toll roads. He’s far from ‘corrected’ on that issue.

“You didn’t write any criticizing McCain?”

LOL...you didn’t see what I posted in 2008 about McCain. After all, like I said, I thought Romney was best back then. That shows just how bad the field was. PATHETIC.

Thanks Bobl ........... you have provided an excellent insight with your compilation of fact based specifics on Perry that should give voters pause on voting for him in the primaries.

What also should be noted in addition to your facts, is that Perry made a emphatic statements that he will not run for president, when he had the option of saying he hasn't made up his mind and will be contemplating it and thereby keeping his options open, indicates (at least to me) that he is a typical duplicitous politician that can't be trusted as a man whose word is his bond. Can you say rino?

See:

Link to Boston.com RE: "Perry, Texas’s longest-serving governor, had spent months saying that he would not seek the nomination. He reversed course several weeks ago and has been openly considering a bid."

“Rick Perry endorsed Rudy Giuliani (RINO). “

THANKS!!! I forgot that also. I’m getting some great fodder for my next thread, maybe next Saturday morning. LOL.

Actually, he said he was “just fine” with how the law was passed, but close enough.

You should have said Palin IN MY OPINION is unelectable because I believe everything the Leftist media tells me.

"Palin is unelectable due to the Alinsky tactics of the last 3 years."

Bishop Romney's Alinsky tactics DO NOT reflect on Gov. Palin.

I think that it is pretty obvious that the networks orchestrate political messages. Bachmann is a threat to the status quo. Leno is bought.

“Goes along with his belief on states’ rights, does it not?
I don’t care what they do in NY or CA. I just want them to leave us alone! Texans are all too familiar with people moving to TX to earn a living and bringing with them the politics that ruined where they came from! I don’t care what people in other states do as long as they don’t try to cram it down our throats! “

Neither do I, but until 1973 (or so) most people thought that abortion was only a “state” issue. The problem is that once the federal courts rule, Texas has two choices, either OBEY THEIR MASTER in DC, or secede. That is why this crap has to be dealt with at the federal level.

"Read his books. I like the comments on the difference between Liberty and license in “On my Honor,” the book about the values of the boy scouts. http://www.amazon.com/dp/0979646227/ref=rdr_ext_tmb"

You do realize that wrapping themselves in the flag and copying the flowery language of the founders is a time-worn and honored tradition among cynical politicians on both sides of the aisle? What next? Will he have one of his ghost-writers plagarize Reagan stump speeches for a book, and use it to pander for conservative votes? (He already did). Absolutely Clintonian.

Perry's problem is a record that mostly doesn't match his rhetoric. He can't run away from it, and Romney and Obama can run against it.

You forgot to mention that he supported Giuliani for president.

Perry’s support of Giuliani alone should be a deal killer for any conservative looking for a candidate.

Giuliani is pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, pro-amnesty, anti-Bill of Rights, and he is corrupt. In fact he would be in jail except his crimes were uncovered after the statutes of limitations had run out.

On top of all of that, Giuliani’s wife had to get a court order to keep him from bringing his strumpet into the family home. His wife and kids first found out he was filing for a divorce when he announced it in a press conference.

ANYONE who would support someone like Giuliani for elected office does not have the judgement to be president.

“Does KBH not count? “

She certainly wasn’t opposing him as a conservative. So, no.

There was a post yesterday that went into a lot of detail regarding the Garasil issue.

My take-away from the article was that he issued an EO mandating the vaccine as a political maneuver to make it easier for families to opt out.

He’s made mistakes and has Republican/Conservative detractors here in Texas. A good percentage of that, IMO, seems to be based on superficial, knee jerk reactions from some who think that running with democrat’s sound bytes make them appear ‘informed and principled’. It doesn’t.

He’s not perfect. But then, who is?

I’m not 100% sold on the guy on every issue but he’s ‘good enough’ and has the brass to make decisions.

Sam, the Palin attack dogs are out in full force this morning. Can't you see the frothing of the mouth. In a few minutes you will see upteenth cut/paste madness from Diogenesis.

Don't expect them to get off talking points today.

So basical Perry is Bush 44? Because the only difference I can see between them is Perry voted for Al Gore and I would assume Bush voted for himself. ;-)

“Actually, from what I’ve been reading and what I heard on the radio. He’s more for states deciding the legality of abortions, gay marriage and other things like that and NOT Washington DC. Which is what a real republican would support. “

I dealt with this one. The 10th amendment only applies to the extent that the federal courts allow it to apply. We cannot IGNORE Washington and other states and think they won’t affect us...THEY WILL.
